Neo Turfmasters I feel is a grossly overlooked game, simple but strangely addictive. Now I own it on my Pocket but I would like it for home how easy is it to get for AES, CD or MVS (although I don't have MVS yet I am considering it).

hehe, it's not a very overlooked title at all. It's high on many people's want lists (including mine). As with anything, it can be had for the right price. Unfortunately that price on homecart is usually $600+. MVS is cheaper, but still in high demand. Good luck :) .

The CD version is supposed to be the best. It has a course not found in the MVS/AES version and doesn't cost all that much.

The Japanese home cart is pretty expensive but findable.

The US homecart can be VERY hard to find. I spent several months looking for mine.

The MVS version is the second best option. It's just like the homecart.

just get A burn first to see if you like it.
if you do, an official copy should not run that much. neo store was selling them new for $25.

I don't know if your question was serious or a joke, but Neo Turf Masters IS the US version. The japanese version is called Big Tournament Golf.

I bought this very game for good ole Shawn here on cd. It rocks! I would keep the neo pocket just for that game-hot shots has nothing on it- but that game kicks ass too. One day I'll get the MVS one. Order it from Shawn if he has any left if you get a cd, I think I payed like 20 for it.

www.retrox.co.uk Had the Japanese CD version in stock a while back for around £30 I think. On there website it says they can source pretty much any game from Japan so you might want to drop them an email.

Neo Turfmasters MVS has been popping up on Ebay. I just got one for 40 Pounds (Shipping included). What's that? Like $57? Great game.

I just picked up an mvs conversion for 60.00 from mike at M.D. he even gave me a 3 month warranty. he said the real carts are going for about 85.00 .
excelent game ! Ive seen them go for as much as 100.00 on ebay for an mvs cart. for me mvs is the only way to go ! tvs just dont do the whole gaming experience justice , for me anyway. candys are pretty cheap and the boards dont cost much either ! good luck

Is a MVS conversion a bootleg?

as far as I know it started life as another game . Im not sure which one, but it was an mvs game of some sort. some of the roms were changed out to make it a neo turf masters.
Im not sure if that is the definition of a bootleg ? but mine works great , no sound issues or graphical problems.

Do you mean it plays on your home system? I'm a little new with the terms too, but I think that is called a conversion, but kind of a bootleg at the same time. Bootlegs just mean unofficaialy reproduced. Anyway, if you paid $60 for a Turfmaster, set me up! I love that game but the original costs small fortune.

mine is mvs , I got it from mike at www.mdgamesales.com
you might check with him and see if he has anymore? , but I would suspect that he wont beacuse I know he dosent like to deal in conversions or bootleg game copies.
for aes I wouldnt know where to tell you to look ?
but you could use a converter yo play it on aes.
good luck

Yeah that is a bootleg, but atleast he was honest with you about what it is, a lot of people would never even open up the cart to look unless there was problems.... Mike sold me a real Turfmasters when Cosmico sold me a fake one. I took I nice loss on it. But that is what you get when you try to save money. I bought it from Cosmico for $45 + $20 shipping... $65... found it was a boot, a good boot with no problems, but I wanted real. I then sold it on ebay as a boot for $40 :( but I can not and will not rip someone off knowingly. Then bought a real one from Mike for $75... so... I really paid $100 for mine, but it is a great Golf game! I love it,
