Awesome.

On a someone related note, I haven't really kept up with a lot of SNK related news lately, but was there ever any word on 00/01 for the Xbox?

That's like 3 weeks after SNGay vs Crapcom comes out.

I'll be playing this on live for shizzle.

AES: play with friends at home.

XBox: play online.

play with friends > play online

yup. I think that's all.

$40 for X-box games

$650 for Neo Geo games.

$650 - $40 = $a decent vacation.

I agree fully.
I'll still be getting it though, as well as SvC:chaos.

Yes and no . Us chicago nerds get together every couple weeks to play some AES but online is possible everyday.

Why?

I can understand wanting like KOF 97 on the AES over say.. the PS1 version, but getting KOF 2003 on the AES over the Xbox version is a whole different matter.

I buy home carts but understand that people want to buy the same game for 39.99. The latest bunch of ports have been pretty good at a fraction of a homecart price . I don't knock people that don't buy homecarts. A lot of the time we play romz on the x box its a matter of preference .

same here. hell, actually I'm even excited about the Live feature (I'm a KOF nuts). ports nowadays are excellent alternatives for those who can't afford the cart. they are not bad at all. but they can't replace the AES carts. nothing beats the Neo when it comes to 2-player matches.
