I was listening to the game on the radio, so I have only seen the replay once or twice and can't really comment on how legit the hit was. I guessing if it was Konerko running in to Mauer I would be saying the same thing you are saying.

Tonight match up should be really good if you like a pitchers dual, not to mention there should be some retaliation for what happened yesterday.
Ten bucks says Gardenhire gets throw out of the game.

Sox already swept the Twins in MN so If we get swept this time its no big deal . Have you looked at the Twins August schedule ? Its fucking brutal the Sox already played most of the tougher teams . Sox will win the central easy . We end the season playing KC !

Yeah, I saw the highlights on Sportscenter. What's really sad is how ESPN was treating it like a big joke. The guy went to the fucking hospital for christ's sake.

There was no reason to bowl him over like that when he could have gone around. What a fucking pussy.

Hopefully one of the Sox pitchers will bury one in Hunter's earflap tonight and make him think twice about doing shit like that again.

Everette and Pauly are on fire . There is one good thing from having Mags and Frank on the DL is that you have a better defensive team on the field that will help the pitching in the long run . Mags is only out 4 weeks not the rest of the year .

He didn't even have to go around, Burke wasn't in the basepath at all, since the ball didn't even get to him yet. He lunged way to his left to hit him on purpose, that was clear as day. He could've just ran like normal and would've been safe without a slide.

Then of course after the game he starts talking like he's a good guy and just playing the game hard. Yea sure, you fucking faggot.

And yea if someone on the sox did that to a twinkie, I'd also say it was a killer play, just not in the same words. I'd also acknowlege the fact that it was a cheap hit.

I didn't know that the catcher was sent to the hospital, that is to bad. If the play is as bad as the chi sox fans argue than I sure the league will say something about it. All I have heard on MN sports radio is that it wasn't as cheap as you guys say it is. When I get home I'll check the replay again and I will make my final decision, but from what I saw last night on the news, it wasn't that cheap.

The Chi sox have had plenty of chances already after the all-star break to take a commanding lead in the central and have yet to do it. What make you so certain that the sox will not fall apart like they have in previous years?

btw the cubs aren't the only cursed time in Chicago. When was the last time they made it to the world series let alone the playoffs?

95 mph heater to the head would be ill advised. It would really hurt the sox if Garcia gets tossed then suspended for some games. What suck is the umps are more than likely going to be handing out warning to both team to "try" to prevent anything from happening.

I really wish the umps would let the team retaliate with the bean ball the way they used to.

So you didn't see how he clearly leaned to the left just to hit the guy? And it wasn't just slighty to the left, he straight dove that way to hit him. Burke wasn't in front of the plate. Maybe his foot, but that's about it. Totally unnecessary cheap shot.

Go to the eye doctor soon.

Of course Ozzie was impressed. You guys won 6-2 in a big game. I'd also imagine he doesn't want any of his guys getting suspended when he is already down 2 big bats.

Well looks like the sox are going to eat a dick again . So will the Twins make it out of the 1st round of the playoffs or get swept by the yanks again . Looks like without Mags and Frank the sox are a AAA team.
