I'll be soooooo disappointed if it doesn't have at least 10 unlockable characters.

I think there are already six new characters annouced. I'm waiting for 4 more.

(uh and I don't want crappy characters which are other versions of already existing ones)

A friend of mine preordered it, so I'm probably be able to try this game soon.

Not that I am so excited, thinking of it... :rolleyes:

I watched some video and it looked so fake...

I didn't recognized K' in his new outfit until 1 minute... :shame:

Anyway I'll be happy for the ps2 users if this turns to be a decent fighter.

Actually, at the loketest it was OK.

Not great, but not rotten or anything... just ok. Same sprites, but really nice BG's.

Gosh, I only wish there was another really *cough* great fighting game that could *cough cough* somehow fill the void *cough cough VIRTUA FIGHTER FINAL TUNED*

Any chance that delay was because they were redoing the sprites? I really dunno.

No way man. KOFNeowave is just a test to see how well they can do KOF on the Atomiswave, before they come out with KOF03.

THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BE REWORKING SPRITES FOR SOMETHING SO NON-MOMUMENTAL.

Anyway... from what I read about it, I'm not too excited of neowave as well...

Ok, at least is still 2d and derived from the previous titles, but I haven't much faith

in Playmore's skills anymore.

I think that we could make a weird comparison:

Teh worst for SNK = Teh best for Playmore

Of course the games they made are NOT totally shit, expecially kof 01-02

show good gameplay, but you have always to pay attention to what you buy!

I miss those days (and it was only '99) when I got my Neo and you could always

buy anything even without playing it first (MOTW, MS3, KOF99-2000, just to name

some game I bought on release).

Moreover at Playmore are lazy as hell... <rehash mode=ON> :rolleyes:

Hmm, essentially KoF 2002 #Reload, but I'd rather play that than MI or 2003, so I'm looking forward to it.

Whoopsie, I meant to say KOF04.

Actually this thread is pretty timely because Jake and I were talking about this game last night. Jake was betting that it might not even see a release: that they might just skip KOFANW and go straight to KOF04. Speaking of which, we should (or better!) start seeing screenshots or articles about that soon, otherwise they're not going to be able to have it out in time for Autumn...

One more thing I forgot about KOFAW was that it did incorporate the AWNET system, which was a pretty neat idea. That, the return of Saisyu, and the beautiful BG's, make it worth a quarter or two at the arcades.

One strange thing about this game is that we still haven't seen a good video of it in action. I am sure that will change shortly... God damn! Get this game ported and released to PS2 already... ;)

watching those vs matches on the third floor was the beginning of the revolution for moi
then we went back home and started playing the game seriously
and now i think its good
i still believe that somehow 98 is the perfect kof
and i still believe that the bgs / music in 2002 are a bit crap
but on the other hand in 2002 you can use a lot of characters that you truly cant use in 98
because they have no chance against the other 10 or so GOD TIERS
so more variety + mad skillz for mastering the bc mode etc etc
