can someone explain to me a supercancel?

how do i pull it off?
in any game for example sf3 3rdstrike

ken: dp+p/cancel into qcfx2

so what im doin is canceling the dp into a fb in middle of dp?

I beleive it's cancling A special move into A supermove.

Do you have the basic understanding of what a super cancel is?

Basicly it is the same as a "2 in 1" except for canceling a normal punch or kick into a special or a super, you are canceling a special into a super.

An easy one with Ryu in Street Fighter 3 is either of his Hadouken Supers (Denjin or Shinku Hadouken) and you can do them like this:

qcf + P, qcf + P

The first qcf + P will make him throw a regular fireball, and then the second one will make him throw the super one. The super move is usually done as qcf, qcf + P but for the super it reads the first qcf motion which was done for the regular fireball as well.

Hopefully this will get you started.

It's also in CvS2 where you can cancel a super into a special, or into another super. Like you can do the following with Kyo:

Jump HK, c.lp, c.lk, xx qcf + lk, lk, Level 2 Serpent Wave, xx qcf + mk, mk, then finish off with a Level 1 Serpent Wave, or his DP + HK for 3 hits.

Basically u do the special move and then very quickly enter the super art command.

Like so Hadouken, then immediatley do a Shinkuu Hadouken right after u hit p in the fireball command. There u super cancelled. Some things won't Super Cancel, even certain strengths wont either but if u want any 3rd Strike help I'll be glad to help ya
