time again for a topic like this. Famiclones. Anyone collect them/have any crazy looking ones?

here is a picture of one that I pulled off the net but I have seen boxed around my way, though its bust :(

yes that's a joystick with a famicom and genesis port on the top!

I just got ahold of a red car famiclone called the Video Racer and its actually pretty incredible (front lights go on when turned on - head lights are the on/off button and reset button etc). - the controllers are really awesome (I'll try to post some pictures up of it). This is not a cheaply made clone either. No box though...
Problem is its a PAL system, but the way I see it, all these clones have the same innards and it would just be a case of opening up an NTSC one and puting it into this one. I say this 'coz I plan to sell it :make_fac:

anyone care to share?

We have a billion of famiclones here in Brazil. I'll post some, if I have time to browse some images.

EDIT: http://www.atarihq.com/tsr/nes/brazil/brazil.html

very incomplete, and a "I-don't-know-all-the-facts" feel, but it's funny for the ones that didn't live that memorable times here :p

I know you do :buttrock: but most don't stand out.

Mini NES units and stuff like that do (I can get them but thet tend to be pal..).

I know you guys have a couple of excellent looking ones (there's a black one, made by GRADIENTE -the phantom system, and I like the CCE stuff), but the amount of 2600 stuff you guys have (pirateware), is really amazing.

Take a look at my post, edited it :)

The Gradiente one looked bad ass, but it's poorly executed (it uses american carts, they are tall, and make the game mess if you shake the console too much).

The CCE ones were my favorites, the dual slots one is very cool - the controller was very bad to handle, but sturdy. But there was a lot of alternate controllers avaliable at that time. And no, it didn't have remote controllers :oh_no:

I always wanted to test the Geniecom... dual slots+'cool' controllers+game genie built-in = teh cool

Well, I just remembered one thing:

I have a complete Phantom System with pistol, and 1 or 2 games (one is that Crime Buster cart), NM. Works perfectly.

You guys can PM me, if interested ;)

just to let you know that Crime Buster was never released in any other country, and I'm not sure if its based on a proto (as alot of Brasilian produced games are (i.e. Master System stuff).

It plays both? That's awesome! I'm quite the rom whore when it comes to older systems, but I would love to have that. The Neo Fami looks very cool, also.

I got a Sachen made Famiclone. It's called the Q-Boy. It even has 8 games built into it. Mostly Color Dreams NES stuff. this is what I remember was built in.

>Little Red Hood
>Jovial Race
>Pang, (Sachen's interpretation of Capcom's "Buster Brothers")
>Silent Assault

I know that. But good question. The game is complete, and it's pretty simple - 3 scenarios only. But I'm 90% sure it's a chinese or korean game. Some friends of mine had researched a bit, but there's no final conclusion.

I don't get these, do they just play Famicom games? That's it?
That's a rip, hahah.

Haha... that's cute.

A Famicom side loader....

It's entertaining how they can take this Famicom stuff and twist it around like that.

I don't know if Famicom Disk Systems can actually get along with these poseurs.

maybe this will be stating/reiterating the obvious - but the neo famiclone is designed around the neo geo! just take a look at it!

Apart from the fact it looks nothing like a Neo Geo. Unless you dont mean the "Neo-Fami" above.

I have no doubt the design is based around the neo geo/neo geo cd. look at the controllers for instance.

EDIT:granted, maybe I'm deluded.

Too bad plastic molds are expensive... that design is inspiring for a consolized MVS ;)
