Soft Dip Settings

Hi all, just thought i'd ask seen as though i can't find any information. Is there a list of what each dip setting does? I know the obvious ones like difficulty level, continues etc. But whats the cruelty setting do?? Is it better having it higher lower or in between?? Sorry to be a pain but its really bugging me!!

I'd also like to know what the CONT. GAME soft dip does? You can find it in later KOF games. Its not the same as the CONTINUE option.

Can anybody shed any light??

I'd take it that CRUELTY is like a violence setting. What game is the CRUELTY setting found in?
