Wiring 2 buttons to 1 input

Hi,

I recently picked up a Konami Windy 29" jamma cabinet.

I'm intending to use it with both MVS and Capcom CPS2+3 games.

The control panel it came with has 6 buttons per player.

I'm thinking about drilling the panel to add a 4th button in the top row to follow the traditional MVS style. Any advice on wiring the cabinet so I can support both the Capcom 3x3 style and the SNK 4 in a line style? Is it possible to wire the 4th button input to 2 physical buttons without a problem?

I don't see why it would be a problem, there's plenty of cabs out there (especially candy cabs) with the same button configuration. For questions like this you'd usually want to consult the tech forum, there's a lot of great people who really know what they're talking about in there.
