Hori AES stick!

Is the cord on a Hori AES stick longer than a normal SNK made stick or CD pad?

Yes. I've never measured it, but it's probably a few feet longer.

I was looking to get a extension joystick cord for my AES system. But I saw the hori stick, and I decided to maybe just get a better over all joystick.

Yes the hori sticks are much better I have 2 Both mint one Boxed

The cable is 17" longer than a neo cd stick. The top and bottom are both metal and the microswitches are a bit stiffer. I like them.

got my hori last week and im really impressed with it, i think its the extra weight that makes it seem more sturdy than the original neo sticks although i think theyre great as well.

Yes,there are two models,Hori I and II.

They're both basically the same.

I got my Hori I off VGD a little over a year ago,the other I bought off rimm_rs.

I have a hori II.
Man this stick is splendid. Its one of the sickest pieces of tech made.

I guess the only difference is the color of the two buttons at the bottom? Just cosmetic, right? Or are there any differences in the stick or buttons?

Nice, mine are both the same. I like the box on the mark 2. The bottom of the mark 2 is silver I think. The mark 1 is black.

I've seen a second hand boxed Hori stick for he Saturn that looks just like that, but with more buttons, for 30EUR, and never decided to buy it. If it is still available when I return to hat shop I might buy it and mod it for supergun usage, we'll see.

these sticks are the best bar none for me for any genere of games on the neo, esp fighters and shooters(turbo)

i have a couple of hori 1's(one has red buttons) and a hori 2 that has a prob where the stick doesnt work but the buttons do

any ideas on this?

sounds like a split in the cable, if it works sometimes, happend to one of mine right next to the top of the stick, If you wiggle and bend the cable try and find out where the split is, Then cut out the section and re solder all 13 wires, great fun. If it never works the could be a switch, costs like a buck. Need more info to be sure.
