Some of you may have seen my thread where I made a supergun using a storage box from 5 1/4" disks. Well, I made another one using the other case I had (only had two and who knows if I'll be able to get another this style or similar.

Some details:

  • JROK 3.1 video encoder
  • wired for Neo Geo MVS (but JAMMA compatible with many boards)
  • Coin 1 and Coin 2 wired to Select on joysticks
  • Compact enclosure with JAMMA edge connector on back
  • +5V wired to controllers (so Neo CD pads work fine)
  • Clear brown casing so you can see the blue LED on the JROK lit up!
  • Brand new Jameco tabletop PSU

As far as price, I sold another supergun ("Compact/Mini" supergun) for $225 shipped. For this one, I know there's a good amount of interest, so I'll start "bidding" at $225 and accept offers until this coming Saturday at about 6 pm PACIFIC time. I'm doing this so people will get a chance to get it and not just simply first person grabs it (since this may be the only one I can ever make due to the casing). Also, I can sell a perfectly working, nice condition Pro Controller with it for an extra $25. Please post offers in the thread or PM me. I would prefer the offers to be in this thread so people don't think I'm inflating the price at all.

I accept PayPal and money orders.
Questions? PM or e-mail me.

that is great looking!!!!

still wondering...

Why no:

mono/stereo switch
attenuation circuits
game switch button

IMO, 20 more minutes of work and $5 worth of parts and your sg would be 2 or 4 slot ready with stereo sound output.

please don't take this as a bash!!! It's not! Your work looks really clean and I am very impressed with the jamma harness whole on the clear case! Very clean looking cut! Just wondering why stop a bit short of making a good supergun, a great supergun?

Didn't think it too necessary. Haven't found any problems with multiple boards so far, both MVS (MV-1, MV-1FZ, MV-1F, lots of JAMMA boards, etc).

I thought about this and didn't find compelling enough reason to add it. Sound level is great for all the above boards mentioned, with one case only being half volume (and that's due to the lack of -5V for that board)

Don't have a 2-, 4-, or 6-slot to try it on, but this could probably be added really easily...

And thanks for the compliments!

i could really use something like that.

but with a button to switch the games for teh 2 slot.

Actually, I would like to offer to the future owner both the stereo/mono switch and "game switch" installs if desired. Just let me know!

If I end up with the system I would like those additional mods.

All multi-slots have built-in joy ports and the select button on neo sticks (or neo compatible sticks) does switch between the games so I see no point in having a separate select button on the supergun.

All a matter of tastes. That's why I don't normally put those switches in.

Of course there are as many versions of superguns as there are colors in the spectrum, so to each his/her own.
