That's right folks. The UC system loves to draw out the school year like a game of Xenogears. Yesterday we had the commencement, followed by free champaign at the alumni center- who I'm happy to say won't be seeing a dime from this graduate.

But alas, after 5 years, I'm walking out with a Proof of Purchase (BA) in Political Science and Arabic. What that'll do for me outside of working a job in a sordid intelligence agency, I don't know. In the meantime, though, it'll be all about earning some kind of wage, the GRE and LSAT, and the unequalled ambivilency that'll surround my days in 'the real world.' Well, that and maybe building my own Supergun. But we'll see 'bout that...

'The real world...' What a horrible euphemism!

Congrats, Cracka. As they say, "It's time to kick back, drink some beers, and smoke some weed!"

Your a Bruin for 4-6 years, but a Trojan for life, baby :D

Seriously though, your BAs will do little in their specific fields. All it does is tell employers that you're reasonably smart and responsible. If you're thinking about the LSAT, take Testmasters. You'll thank me later.

People with majors like that tend to take whatever jobs they can get, save enough money for trips, and go on trips whenever they can. I should know, I've worked with many of them.

It's a good combo for the current political situation's administration, that's for sure, but we know how long that could last.

Really now? What delusion makes ya think a Trojan is for life? Those condom commercials make me think otherwise...

And a quick question regarding Testmasters- could you give me a ballpark figure of how much they charge?

Something like $1100. They are, in reason, the more expensive service available, but they also offer the most classtime, the most questions and materials, and their results are absolutely undeniable. They will make the games section like childsplay for you (by far their specialty). I think Robin Singh (the guy who started and developed the whole program) teaches the test review they do at UCLA -his class is more expensive than the others... I don't know if you necessarily need that (I didn't have it). He's really an amazing guy: picture a clean-cut, 30ish guy with a bit of a fast-surfer-dude accent.

I've never felt the need to plug anything like I have this program, my first diagnostic was a 156, my fourth and final was a 172, my actual exam was a 170 (98th percentile). If you bust your ass and do the work they assign (they assign a lot), you'll see results.
