I just purchased the MVS game double dragon (Fighting game). I was really surprised by how good of game it was (For the time). I think it was based off of a movie based on the video game :oh_no: I like how in the background action was going on. Anyway (sorry, got a little side tracked), who do you like using?

I liked Rachael (The woman with the batons). Easy & damaging moves. Anyone know a good combo with her?

Take it easy

yeah, that game is actually much better than people give it credit for. Sure, its no Last Blade, but it has its moments. Its not based on the movie, the only relation to that pos is the FMV at the intro and the boss, other than that the game is based off characters/story from the awesome, old arcade games by technos thank god. NG DD was One of Technos last games too. too bad :(

I like using Adobo myself  The one background for Jimmy, the dojo, is pretty cool witht the flames and whatnot and how at the intro the training partner gets kicked out of the screen. not bad at all. also, forgot to mention, but beating the the boss with anyone but adobo is a pain in the ass.

I like the game somewhat, but I just feel that there is something missing in it.

It has all the basic fighting game staples down pat, but it seems to be missing some soul, it's like a cookie cutter fighting game, say, a mold with which to start a game from...

I'll revive this month old thread because I just got this a week or two ago and I just sat down and played all the way through it. Honestly, it grew on me very quickly. My fav is Jimmy, and I spanked the last boss with him, but the sub-boss Duke was a bitch to beat. It's a little long since you have to beat every character (including yourself and 2 bosses) but it's pretty fun IMO. I also like the fact that there's lots of different fighting styles in it.

I haven't had a chance to play it in a few years, but it's a fun game to mess around with, and linking moves together is ridiculously easy. I also love a lot of the little things, like when someone falls off the airplane at the end of a match, the jet skiers, and how the monitors fall on the boss after you beat him. A lot of the stage intros are really cool, like the Jimmy one mentioned above. I forget her name, but my favorite character was the girl who says, "I haven't rost yet."

I remember playing this and trying to like it during my college years. It's a competent fighter for those with the patience to learn its ins and outs.
The announcer's voice gets very annoying after awhile, and also when the 4 slot cab at my university arcade had other classics like SS2 and Metal Slug, it wasn't hard to pass up on DD! :)
