I'm the unluckiest person.

Okay, I finally got around to ordering King of Fighters 2002 on overnight shipping earlier this afternoon from the Neo-Store.

That's not the bad part.

Anyways...

I work at UPS, and at the end of work tonight I sliced half of the tip of my left hand middle finger in the push in rollers.

It basically guillotined it.

The tip was barely hanging on. You could see the bone.

I had it X-rayed and I barely missed the bone. The doctor at the ER stitched it back on and said that the tip would hold.

Thankfully I am right handed, but now I can't use my left hand for several weeks.

Not that any of you would care, but I had to vent my fustration.

Looks like it is RPGs and watching DVDs for a while.

Don't sweat it, dude. You had me scared there for a second - I thought you were gonna say that you cut the insert or damaged the entire cart

Sliced fingers will grow back .... well, unless you totally chop them off .... anyway, your wound will heal, but a torn insert will haunt you for a lifetime :loco:

Besides, you don't really need all your left hand fingers to operate the joystick ;).

If you were me for a week, you'd change the topic to: I'm so lucky I'm not the roker

I sill have feeling in the tip, so that's a good sign.

It didnt really hurt that much, it just stung a bit when they were cleaning it out at the ER.

They numbed it with anestetic before it was sewn back on.

I still don't feel any pain as of yet. I can feel it "pulsate" once in a while.

Thats weird how when you cut yourself like that it dosent really hurt. I put a hunting knife right in the bone/knuckle of my pointer finger and it didn't hurt at all.

If you cut yourself with a really sharp blade, the pain usually won't kick in until 10 seconds or so later. That's what I've found at least, after cutting myself various times :loco:

i know what it's like to not be able to use my left arm. i'm actually going through that right now, for the second time. the first time, i tore my wrist. the second time was a hyper-extended and cracked elbow. the worse part of the whole ordeal was that it happened right after my wrist had healed. talk about unlucky.

I'm pretty sure starving children in Africa are unluckier than you are.

Slicing the tip of your finger still isn't fun.

:tickled: ..Awesome that you remembered that..

Yup,I basically had the same thing happen..And man did it hurt.. :oh_no: :crying:
Several years ago It was cut off by the alternator in my Corvette while I was adjusting the belt.
My friend was sitting in the car and he wanted to listen to the radio..Instead of turning the key backwards he turned it forward by mistake as to start the car.
(He didn't know what I was doing under the hood)
It took it right off ..and happen so fast I was in a bit of shock...took off the whole tip and you could see the bone...
Blood was squirting all over the place.

I jumped in the car and drove to the hospital with him still in the passenger seat.No ones driving my Vette/fk that..
I was Speeding-Cursing etc........... :loco:

Blood was all over the wheel,me etc..
They stitched it up/warped it up and said it would be ok but I was not to use it.
Shoot, the next day I was out on a Dirtbike pulling in the clutch with the rest of my fingers..(Hard but doable)
Bumbing into trees or anything hurt though.. :p

I still have the scar on my left hand middle finger..It was cut off right through the center of the nail.
The nail has never been quite right...and the finger print was gone for awhile

I cut the tip of my right hand's pointer finger off with a meat slicer when I worked at a deli. I heard a "click" as the blade went through my nail before I felt any pain.

Masochist.

I have full use of my right hand. I type so slow now and I have to look at the keyboard now. I haven't done that since I was a kid. :)

That has to really suck. I give you props for driving yourself. Did the blood ruin the interior of your car?

Awhile back, some friends and I were working on some stage stuff
for a summer program we were in, and they had one of those elec.
saws...the small ones you was walk around with.

Anyway, we needed to cut some boards and we fired it up. After
a few successful boards, we started joking around and messing
with each other while one of the other guys was cutting a board.

They were playing around and my friend Josh tripped and he tried
to grab the board, in a reaction to falling and not thinking, and his
fingers landed right in front of the saw.

It all happened so quickly, but long story short - we all watched his
entire pinkie finger get cut off completely.

By the time the guy stopped the saw, it had started to cut into his
ring finger.

It all happened in the span of 5-6 seconds, but I never knew it could
cut through bone that easily.

We took him to the hospital, and they told him his pinkie was all but
gone, and he had damaged some nerves and tissue in his ring finger,
so if he wanted to keep it, it'd pretty much be useless, so his parents
had them just amputate the rest of that finger off.

He was pretty fucked up for awhile, and I still don't think he's fully
ok...and it's been a few years.
