Pretty dumb that they are trying to keep it a secret about what it looks like on the web page.... but anyway the flash movie on the site is kind of cool.

It's a PS2 controller with 6 buttons on the face. It actually looks similar to the Saturn controller, which is awesome. It's got a picture of Ryu on it also.

It's going to be $19.99.

I already have a PS2 to Xbox controller converter so once I get this I'll be all set. :)

Anyway, doesn't Treiu have some controllers like that at arcadeshock? Sounds like a very similar idea.

It's about friggin' time we saw a 6-face button controller fot Playstation consoles. I hate using those L1 and R1 buttons for Hp and Lp.

They've made a thousand different versions of the same controller.

Buy a joystick for your fighters... pads are pointless for them.

Why do they always make these with the slant of the buttons going from Right down to Left.

Dont you think it would be easier to use if they did the button slant from Left down to Right?

It's harder to bring your hand away from the controller to put your thumb going down and away to hit those other buttons. That is...unless you've over conformed for the odder XBox controller layouts.

LOL, that's the pic I was going to post. Looks like it's going to be another release of the ASCII pad.

I wouldn't say that pads are useless for fighters though. It's way easier for me to do a dp on a pad than a stick.

...

Awesome intro animation on the streetfightercontroller.com site.

Anyone watch the little flash thing in the upper left to see when Ryu finds his dead master? Fucking sweet. :buttrock:

Does the collection even have Alpha 3 in it? Meh, nice page nonetheless.

Edit: WTF it's all Alpha music lol... Isn't it SF3TS and HSF2T?

Nope, I don't. Look at the way your thumb rotates from the palm. Especially considering the angle your hand comes in at when you're holding a pad. It's basically the same thinking as behind the angle the 4 buttons are at on a Neo cab or controller.

My hand doesnt go that high on the controller that its basically pointing down with the way the buttons are now. (and I mean for like hitting all three at once)

Why no Xbox version?

Guess I'll have to invest in a controller convertor too.

Care to explain why?

I really don't get why they would make a website for a controller. It's not even very original. It's basically a Saturn-style PS2 controller.

pffft, I play better with a controller.

Back to topic, the SF controller reminds of the Six-button controller for the Genesis. I would get it if there another controller with Ken's pic on the center.

Speed and precision.

Show me someone who prefers pads over joysticks and I'll show you someone who doesn't take their fighters seriously.

(if anybody takes offense to that... well... sorry, but it's true.)
