The original, uncut Japanese....

Elemental Gearbolt

I tell you, everytime I found one, it was either incomplete, and or in horrid shape. Finally, I grabbed this gem brand new for a mere $20!!! :buttrock: Man, what a game! Solid gameplay, wonderful artistry, beautiful cinemas. But what really makes the game for me, is the grand experience of the music score!

Truly an artful bleand of Barouque and Romantisism, this soundtrack should not be missed by anyone! Powerful and brilliantly composed, this score not only functions o perfection, but can stand alone with it's emotionally powerful influence.

If you have yet to experience this game, please do yourself a favor and do so. The gameplay will keep you glued, the style will absorb you, and the music will take you on an adventure!

What. in. the. fuck.

I remember buying the US version of the game and I also remember
it being one of the worst excuses to own a GunCon 1.

Yuck.

The name sounds familiar but I can't put screenshots on it. Anyways, congratulations for your purchase!

Just a fun shooting game, nothing special, besides 'unorthodox' the game theme.

On an odd note (not sure if this is true for the Japanese version?), Working Designs put out to different covers for teh American version. I have one version while a friend of mine has the other. You wouldn't notice this until you opened up the game though because only the Disc itself has a different picture on it. It an ok game and more of just a odd collectible for gun game enthusiasts.

When you refer to it being the 'uncut' Japanese version, what was censored?

I have the US version, and I enjoyed the game alot. I know WD added these hidden chalices all over the game for points and bonuses, and that didn't bother me. Not sure what was censored from the Japanese version though. It is one of the first gun games to have multiple weapons and the music in the game is pretty haunting (and memorable).

Hey, whether others like the game or not, it's always nice to find that title you've been looking for.
Congrats!

If you think this game is bad you should try Ninja Assault. :oh_no:

Great game, I have the JP version 2- copies of the US version with different characters on the discs and the official soundtrack. Excellent music and cool cinemas.

Congrats man.....awesome game..

Everytime I go to any game store that sells used games I look for the US title within the used PS games..To this day I've never found one.
I even ask for it at the counter sometimes just to ask and I usually get this look.. :spock:
My friends even look for it for me when they hit the game stores...Calling me on the phone.."What's that Game your looking for again?"

I bought the US Elemental Gearbolt game when it came out, played it with a Guncon and I'm pretty sure with a regular PS light gun for 2nd player(I could be wrong/It's been a long time)..then I sold it..

Way back when,I sold it within a pile of PS games when I got into my get rid of old games taking up room mood......(Making room to buy new games)
Something I no longer do.....I could kick myself for selling some of the games I did.

Most of which I've bought again but this title eludes me.
I haven't looked on Ebay for one lately but when I did the price was either to high or the game was missing something.
I want it complete and for say what you paid.

It's different and I liked the fact that it wasn't your Time Crisis type/look.. gun game.

Yuck. The premise was okay, but in the PS2 version, when you use a Dual Shock 2, it automatically locks on enemies, taking out all of the challenge. That's almost as bad as the auto-reloading in House of the Dead 3... :shame:

I second this sentiment..

The following was changed/removed:

Story elements

Ratios

Gameplay stats

Damage

Mature Content (story elements and parts of cinemas)

Some items and options are removed (like the extra side story)

I used to have that myself. Then the opportunity to get Final Fantasy III for Famicom came along. I traded for it. I really didn't want to, but I could not resist it, getting FF3 seemed like a one-time shot back that could not afford to get blown.
