What companies make 29" arcade monitors and how hard are they to find in the United States?

I believe when people refer to 29" monitors they are talking about the CRT size. When the actual viewing area is 27". My candy cab monitor blew a while back and I did alot of research for a 29" monitor for replacement only to find they are actually talking about the CRT size. I contacted http://www.8liners.com/datatech/monitor.html and spoke to the guy and he asked for the model number behind the CRT and told me that it was a 27" viewable monitor.

I'd agree with Hipstir's advice on the actual CRT size versus viewable area bit. My Nanao 29" Dual res unit is around 27" viewable. But to answer your question, Wells Gardner are said to make nice monitors, but for my money its gotta be a Nanao part. Very common too as they're used in most (if not all) SEGA cabinets like Astro citys, Blast citys, Versus citys, Naomi cabs, Namco cabs like Exceleena 1 & 2, Taito Egret 1 & 2, also Scud Race and Daytona 1 & 2 cabs as far as I know too. Grab yourself a good condition used Nanao 29 and you'll never look back!! Just make sure theres no burn in before laying down the cash though!! Good luck with that ;)
