Anyone tried this game out yet? I bought it today, and a friend and I played through the first area. It's pretty fun, although I wanted to punch my friend for cheating constantly.

This game looks very similar to A Link to the Past, which is a great game but has been released and re-released about 27 or so times.

How similar is Four Swords to LTTP?

I'm all about lttp so I didn't mind picking 4 swords.
I think it's overpriced for mainly a multiplayer game though.
it's decent one player. Mostly simple puzzles and stuff.
It was just simple fun, but I can tell you right now
it's definitely not for everyone.
I'm sure it is fun multiplayer though, I might have to drum up some friends one
day and try it out that way.

First, Link to the Past got released 2 times, not 28.

Second, I'm gonna get this game in a few weeks. I already spent over a hundred bucks on Pop'n Music last week. I can't wait to give it a try. I love the 2-d Zelda.

BUMP again

I played it yesterday night. It's awesome! The look & feel of the game worth the game's price hands down. It's so fucking sweet, 2D at his best. LttP style graphics, heavily beefed-up, with lighting effects and WW-esque celshaded effects, and smooth animation. Priceless! That's the way all 2D Zeldas should look.

very interesting details. like the visual effects of the Shadow Link, the voices (for screaming, suprise, etc) - special note to the Zelda's sprite and her surpised voice :)

They had followed the Tales style of using balloons and other techniques to show character's emotions. Very cool.

Playing it alone is quite entertaining, but of course it always sound like you are missing all the fun in someway, cause the multiplayer oriented situations.

Too bad that the kept Tetra's Trackers out of this release. But it's fun anyway.

So lucky that the GBA userbase between my friends are growing ;)

I played more of it last night.
it is a good game, but after playing it more you absolutely know this is a kick ass multiplayer game.
it's too bad nintendo's stance on online games are nil.
it would be fantastic if I could play this online with friends.

Agreed rare. This is up by Animal Crossing in the reasons why ninbtendo needs to go online.

Brilliant stuff in this. The one player isn't bad, but me and nate ended up playing for hours literally just trying to work together long enough to get anywhere, and then toasting each other whent hat was done. (he uses te fire wand, I run into him and set him on fire!) =D

I also made sure all the spare links were on my side.
