Post your Bigfoot close encounters here....

I have not, but I had a friend who swore in all seriousness that he and a few of his childhood friends saw bigfoot in Idaho in the mountains. He didnt lie about anything, so I dont think he was lying.

They were hiking down a path, and up ahead they saw bigfoot standing in the middle of the path, just looking at them. They all froze, then ran away. My friend was frozen and just stood there, and was the last to leave.

They ran like hell towards home. After a ways, they looked back to see if Bigfoot was following them, but they didnt see him anymore.

What is your story?

I saw her in a club called The Treehouse one Friday night. My roommate at the time was about 6 ft tall, and she made him look like a small child. We sort of regretted not bring her home for some missing link action, but I guess hindsight is 20/20. :glee:

My Bigfoot story is that when I was a kid, I believed in Bigfoot absolutely. I loved the episodes of Six Million Dollar Man which featured Bigfoot, and watched the episode of 'In Search Of' hosted by Leonard Nimoy which told the Bigfoot legend and showed all Bigfoot proof gathered to date. Every time my family went camping, I looked for signs of Bigfoot.

Then a couple years back, the guy who took the first actual movies and gathered the original proof of Bigfoot passed away, and his kids revealed that he actually had made the whole thing up, and that the guy dressed as Bigfoot was a friend of the family or something. He also retroactively "created" the legend of Bigfoot, ala Blair Witch Project, in such a way that people began to believe it. In reality, there was no ancient American Indian folklore regarding Bigfoot. No mention of Bigfoot or any Bigfoot-esque creature by anyone in North America prior to the '70s.

One of my childhood heroes was a hoax. That is my Bigfoot story. The end.

I saw ClassicMode running through the forest. He definitely has the fur coat for the part, but his feet are actually quite petite.

There were some scientists
Tryin' to figure out the sasquatch riddle
Then they figured out it was a missing link

"In search of sasquatch" - That was a kick ass "In search of.."
With Leonard Nimoy kicking out the jams

He captured imaginations of people all around the globe
His name was sasquatch so I am told

His legend's ancient in the ancient scribe
Of the Indian tribe (apache tribe)

Scientists have proven that the sasquatch he is real
Take a look at the plaster cast of his foot now you know he's real
Listen real close to the audio tape not human now you know he's real
Couldn't be a man in gorilla suit so fuckin' way now you know he's real
Real real real-real real real really-real real

Dischordant solo with overpoering drums

KJ: Don't take this personally, cause it's not about your playing
JB: No Dude, your drumming is kick-ass. It's just that "the D" it's always just been me and KJ
KJ: And we're just not comfortable beeing a power trio. I hope there'e no hard feelings

(Brief semi-classical guitar interlude)

(Sung)
JB: Sasquatch (KJ: Sasquatch)
Both: We know your legend's real
JB: Sasquatch (KJ: Sasquatch)
Both: We know your love is real
JB: Sasq-oh-uh-eww-ahh-atch (KJ: Sasquatch)

Both: You and Tenacious D... are... real (Really stretch "real")

(Applause)

Sasquatch: Tell Tenacious D "They were kick-ass"
Guy: And who should I tell them said that
Sasquatch: Tell them it was Sasqua- Tell them it was a friend.
Guy: OK

(Audience din)
Classical music plays serenely over sasquatch's walking and moaning
JB: Hey (Really stretched)
Classical music abruptly ends

Sasquatch: You know what... you better tell them it was Sasquatch. They won't know what friend you're talking about.
Guy: Ok, Sure.
Sasquatch: See ya.

The D!
I just creamed my jeans!

Since I've never been camping and our cottage is on a beach, I've never seen anything close to bigfoot, sasquatch or anything like that.
I refuse to believe that it, or other crazy-ass things aren't real, though. There's too much in the world and universe for humans to be the only relevant beings.

Especially since there are two wolfmen living among us.

Maybe Bigfoot is some big bastard with a similar disorder and was exiled to live in the woods?
