Laser Detectors used in illinois?

Well im about to drop all my cash on a 1986 Jaguar Xjs, and Im gonna need a reliable radar (and possiably laser) detector for my new car.



Does anyone know if Illinois uses laser radar systems? Im in southern IL, so im not concerned about the Chicago area. Also, is laser becoming popular? so should i invest in a good laser system now to protect me in a couple years when it is used where i live?



Im gonna get the passport X50, and possiably the ZR3 laser system, does anyone have these, or recomend others?

Laser has been around for so long - I'm sure it's pretty widespread. I'd get a detector that covers multiple radar systems, the more the better.

According to them, it says it's the best detector on the market. I never heard of it or even use it. I would personally try it out and see if it actually works.
