The tickets went on sale some time ago, but if anyone is interested in checking this out, post. Test your manhood, go see Riverdance.

Wow dude that takes balls. I thought three plus hours of Twinkle Star Sprites was a real test of manhood, but this takes the cake.

That might be just a little more manliness than I can handle.

I'm not sure I could take all that clicking...but I wish you a great time. :D

OMFG...

I echo djdelly's sentiments.

I bought tickets for an ex-gf once, but I insisted that she take her dad. They were both Irish/French, so as white as can be. Needless to say they dug it.

Everytime I think I'm fitting in here in Minnesota, someone's gotta pull something like this ;)

Nope, I'm sure he's still headlining somewhere in Vegas. He's overrated anyway.

Ummmmm...excuse me?!? I'm an actor. :spock:

Anytime you wanna go to the theatre or to the ballet or to the orchestra give me a call...but I can't hang with the Riverdance. I'll even check out some Andrew Lloyd Weber with you...but I just can't get into the clickey clack of the Riverdance.

It's not all "clikey clack". Half of the production consists of vocal and instrumental-only performances. The vocal performances are...the f**cking tops in Riverdance. Well, at least in the original Riverdance entitled The Show (VHS only  ) and in the live performance at New York City the vocals were awesome. I've yet to see it live, but oh...no. You ninnys' are afraid of the manly "clickey clack"

:make_fac: :D

Since I feel like you are insulting my sense of culture...if you would like someone to go with you've got yourself a date. :glee:

Dude, Magician... I love you like a brother, but don't, I repeat DO NOT, equate the opera, symphony, ballet, theater or even musicals to "Riverdance" ;)

I will go to any of the previous (in order of preference), but never "Riverdance". Heck, I like all Irish/Scottish/Celtic/etc music, but I'm not putting a foot or penny for a Riverdance show -well, I did pay them once, but again that was for other people. Then again I also would've said the same thing about "Jim Brickman" (If I'd even heard of him prior to my g/f), but now I've gone and seen him twice (bleh x2000000) and I have the ticket price in my credit record for the next few years.

I also dig STOMP, but I didn't know where to classify it.

Sign me up for 90% of jazz music too!
Blue Star/Dakota/Artists' Quarter/Sophie's/etc. -its all good.

On a final, sad note: I learned at the Regents meeting today that Yanni is an alum of the U. As the Grad/Prof Student Rep. to the UMN Board of Regents, humanity has my apology.

According the IMDB, the only one scheduled to open on that night will be:
My Bollywood Bride

However, only a few days before:
The Beauty Shophttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388500 (yup, its a female "Barber Shop" with Queen Latifah) will open... It sounds like competition: Queen Latifah vs. Riverdance :)
On Nov. 19th, there will be a dearth of interesting movies, including:
Terry Gilliam's The Brother's Grimm, Polar Express (Zemekis/Hanks), and the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (which, IMO, just edges out RiverDance in my book).

Isn't Halo 2 being released a few weeks earlier? Why not just have a big Halo 2 gathering at someone's place instead ;)

Still, I would like take this time and Preemptively Roll-Call December 1st's "The Life Aquatic" (the latest movie by Wes Anderson of Rushmore/Royal Tennenbaum fame). I'm sure most of you know about it already. I expect it to rock.
