That article is a bunch of IGN PS2 editors talking about which Sega games they would like to see remade. I liked the article: I'd also like to see a remake of Virtua Racing. That one seems likely-Sega made a Sega Ages remake of Virtua Racing for Japanese PS2s, Conspiracy Entertainment has the US rights to the Sega Ages PS2 games, and plans to release a batch of them this year here. Other games mentioned, like Golden Axe and Space Harrier, were also given Sega Ages rereleases.

They also mention Virtua Cop: this article gives me hope that a home conversion of Virtua Cop 3 is imminent. :)

I already clicked on the link ready to be disappointed.

Then I saw this:

When I saw it was PS2 editors discussing Sega I went in expecting idiocy.

Needless to say, I was not disappointed.

"SEGA Ages: Phantasy Star Trilogy
Kind of bizarre because its missing Generations of Doom, Phantasy Star Trilogy will boast the remade iterations of Phantasy Star: Generation 1, Phantasy Star II, and Phantasy Star IV: End of the Millennium. Just like the Classics Collection, Phantasy Star Trilogy will boast improved graphics, enhanced soundtracks, and additional features not present in the original versions of the games. RPG fans should mark their calendars now; PST is due to hit retailers in Q1 2005."

Odd, I didn't even know PSII and PSIV released in Japan in the Sega Ages series. I will be needing a change of pants though, too bad we won't see this compilation until 2005.

They didn't. Only Phantasy Star one made it. Hmmmm, something special for us!

I take it that he's the fat one. ;)
And as for Virtua Cop, Sega did release Virtua Cop Rebirth, a Japan-only PS2 game that includes the first two titles- it was released about a year before VC3. Anybody play it?
