Fuck Tampon Bay for winning.
Fuck Calgary for losing to a bunch of people from Florida.

All and all it was a great game.

But I just want to laugh at the Captain of TB though. He was put in the penalty box less than a minute from winning his first and only Stanley Cup of 22 seasons.

...HAH!

Fucking Hockey.

Well, they're mostly Canadian on the team anyway with a few Europeans and Americans for good measure, so at least their hockey-loving friends and families will enjoy the victory.

BTW, so will the snowbirds. Canucks know what I mean, although why would they want to escape the current weather?? :glee:

It was a good game, a good final and a great playoffs.
How many Calgarians and Canadians will comment on Gelinas' goal in game six that was disallowed. It was a goal, though, but the decision was made then and there so deal with it!

Hockey = Relevant? Since when???

;)

Still, I guess the people need a light sports appetizer before they watch the rest of the NBA Finals.

Well, I was hoping that Calgary would win, but the lightning had to much talent and were the better team. I really enjoyed watching the playoffs this year and hope to find hockey being played next year when the season is scheduled to start.

Florida teams schooled the nation, all except the magic, were still trying to make them not suck.

Awesome for Tampa to win since they're my closest team to where I currently live. If somebody told me Tampa would win the Stanley Cup last year I would've laughed my ass off. I'm proud of them.

And no offense to basketball (I love the sport too, especially playing it), but you hockey haters must be pussies or something. Hockey has fast paced action, hitting and REAL fighting in it. How the fuck could you not like that?

Congrats to Tampa for a great finals! I was torn on which team I wanted to win, but I enjoyed every game of the series.

...and hockey is definitely on the radar in this household. In fact, game 1 of the NBA finals was the first NBA game I've seen in a decade or so. I used to be a HUGE NBA fan too.

NBA sucks... at least it is a challenge to predict who will win in the playoffs for hockey... basketball is a waste of time and air.

I could care less about hockey, but I'm definately going to party hard down here. Way to go Lightning and thanks for the upcoming partying, even though I don't know one player on their team.

The town was electric all night. Couldn't sleep from all the damn horns in the streets.

Sorry for you Canadians. Your time will come again soon. Iginla just didn't have the support he needed, and all our guys (lucky for us) were in full swing last night.

Gotta say though, it was a hell of a ride. Definitely the most fun I've had watching sports in recent memory. Totally awesome, exciting playoffs (especially beating Philly... bwahahaha). Thanks Bolts!! :loco: :buttrock:

Calgary didn't get screwed, didn't you see that 3D model that all the NHL officials already discussed? The only team I've seen screwed in the finals are the Buffalo Sabres in the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals. NO GOAL DALLAS, you were in the crease when that rule was still around.

World Cup > all other sporting events, but on a lighter note, my hats off to Tampa for winning th ebig one even I wanted to see a Canadian team win one since the Habs did it back in the early '90s.

Now all Tampa has to do is make a winner out of the Rays and then we'll have something........Naw, I'm just playing about about the Devil Rays winning.

Lightning and Buccaneers have done it, why can't the Rays? :smirk:
