I know the Dragon Ball Z games in general suck. But I haven't heard much about this game. Is it any good or does it suck just like the other DBZ games?

While it is an extremely shallow fighting game, it can be fun for a little while. I'd definitely rent it first.

I thought it was mediocre at best. If you want a good DBZ fighter, try out the Super Famicon version of DBZ: Hyper Dimension. I'd say that's the ebst DBZ game I've played. Give it a try, you might like it.

It's the best DBZ game. However, it's a shallow fighting game. The engine shows promise, but even then, the potential wasn't realized in DBZ Budokai 2. If you're looking for a competitive fighter, stay away. If you're looking for a good DBZ game, look no further.

The only this going for it is that it's pretty. If you are a big fan of the series you'll probably look past the fact that it's not that great and still enjoy the game.

Budokai is ok. The fighting engine is very simple and the moves are easily done. It's fun for a while but it getting boring soon. If your getting the first one, it's only saving grace is the story mode. After that, it's becomes hella boring. Avoid the second game. The story mode is replace by some crappy board game and you ended facing the same enemies constantly. The game biggest problem is that there no varity between the characters. They all have the almost the exact same moves! To put it simple, you master one character you mastered them all.

The engine is actually decent. It's by no means great or anything, but there's a lot to think about when setting up combos, such as what will stun your opponent and give you another opportunity to follow up with a longer combo string. Side steps also play an important part in your combos.

A lot of people bag on this game, and they're partly right. However, they also haven't invested the time needed to actually dig into the game and judge it for what it actually is. Check out some combo videos of some of the stuff you can do that I talked about here - snkguitarist.com/vids

The best is the Super Nes series, which was not ever released in the US.Especially DBZ2 and Hyper Dimension(which was slightly different to the other 3)

Hyper Demesion kicks so much ass. It's a shame barely anyone has played it. I had a combo for Goku that did 180 dmg. I was pretty proud of that.

Back in 6th grade i spent 120$ on DBZ: Hyper Dimension for SNES, I have to say i was a amazing game, great graphics for SNES, great sound, as good as snes fighting games get.

Other than that every other DBZ game sucks, but DBZ lengends for JP psx was very very fun
