LS - HC compatibility

Any thoughts on compatibility issues when substituted on arcade game boards.

74LS low power, low saturation with in built in schottky diodes - older TTL tech.

74HC faster CMOS device

I know that they can be interchanged in most applications, anyone had probs with substituting ?

I've never had a problem with it, based on experince swapping parts on redemption games and pinball.
