Alrighty then. Out of all of Gerry & Sylvia Andersons' works it was their SuperMarioNation series of Captain Scarlet that was my favorite. I always thought if funny how the "Mysterons" would allude in some manner to how they would attack. Too bad our enemies in real life don't do that. After that I guess my loyalty would be to the original Thunder Birds, but I also love JOE 90 that show rocked the house. I remember watching THUNDER BIRDS after the Jim Henson Muppet Hour in the early 80's, and much later about 89-90 one of the American syndicated channels had on episodes of the non Sylvia Anderson involved Terra Hawks {Which I would kill to have on DVD}, but I still hold onto my beloved U.K. magazines that showed the behind the scenes stuff that the Anderson's did. I don't have it in front of me right now so I forget the name of the fanzine, but it was rather big in it's day.
Fireball X-5 I just bought so I'm going to check that out along with Sting Ray since {Thank the DVD Lords} A&E is releasing all of this stuff on DVD. *I'm truly pissed off however, that The Thunderbirds is being turned into a live action cheese fest with non other than Bill "Game Over Man" Paxton. It would have been the prime oppourtunity to showcase what Super Marionation is capable of now, but I guess in this day and age no one would care much. I tried showing episodes of Captain Scarlet to my brother in law {the one who like the NEO:GEO age 13} but he said it was corny. I guess to him it would be. *Glad to know I'm not alone in liking the old puppet stuff.
