(EDIT: IF you downloaded it before, try it again at the new link, I updated it with better colors)

Didn't know whether to place this in here, Creative, or General, but I decided to post it here.

I had too much spare time Wednesday night and whipped this together. I was tired of staring at my low-res default theme (mock WinXP) for my PocketPC so I whipped this one up. Besides the obvious colorings of various things (where I had to find the color in Photoshop, jot down each RR,GG,BB value, convert it to hex, plug it into the right place in this text file, transfer it to my iPAQ and test it...), I removed some JPEG compression and some strange effects from the flyer being scanned (to make the background totally black in most places) and increased the saturation of the Japanese text and the game logo (no big deal, except I use Photoshop 5.0 Limited Edition :( )...

Well I hope you enjoy my theme, artwork is by the allmighty Shinkirou; this works fine on my iPAQ h1910 (running Pocket PC 2002) but use at your own risk as with any 3rd party files (then again there's really not much risk at all :) )

I might add that this is my first time making one of these; if I wanted to make another I could probably do it a lot faster.

DanAdamKOF's Samurai Shodown II Theme (PM foums thread)

If you haven't installed a theme before, here's how:
1.) Copy the file to your /Windows directory on your PocketPC
2.) Go to Settings and launch the Today tool.
3.) Change your Today screen to my theme.

Sure, I'll show off the fruits of my three hour labor :D.

It looks slightly better on the handheld itself since the images in the theme file are uncompressed PNG.

I like the idea of contrasting colors on your menu/display. Makes it a lot easier to read the program listing. I notice it looks like you are running Wisbar. You should grab Wisbar Advance, it has some awesome skinable features for your menu and new files bar. Of course you could be running Wisbar Advance, simply with not skin active. If you play movies on your PPC I would also recommend checking out the new BetaPlayer application, it's way better then the current PocketMVP. picard, one of the guys that works on PocketMVP did it since the main guy on MVP, marco I think, was doing enough updating and he got bored and wanted to make his own program. It's pretty early on in development and already has way better performance. If you are running 1910 I'm sure you will notice the difference with ease.

I don't have a memory card, so it's pointless ATM to have media players. As for the upper bar, I didn't like WisBar, but I use Magic Button and it's really un-intrusive. I wish it supported the date in the taskbar though (I use TaskbarDate and it's buggy but it's ok).

I may or may not do some more themes in the future... this one took me a while, but I think I'm better at them now.

BTW do you have Siberian Strike? How long is it and is it worth the $20?

Very nice theme! I'll keep it on my Dell Axim X5 Advanced, definately! Thanks for doing that!

Hmm maybe I should get off my duff and make one.

Nesagwa's to thank for motivating me, asking a silly little question about whether I SNK-itized the PPC.

After about 30 minutes of looking I found a Mai theme but it wasn't too good. I should submit this to something.

Any other SNK themes out there?

Well what is it you didn't like about Wisbar? It may have been something that doesn't apply to Wisbar advance. It would still be worth a shot I think, if you don't like it you can always take it off. As for Siberian Strike, I enjoy it. I also have a game Metalion which is pretty cool. It's a Space Harriers styled game. Runs really nicely. Metalion 2 on the other hand (with it's fancy 3D) is pretty choppy. I would also recommend Age of Empires. It was ported over VERY well and is worth every penny. Keep in mind that it's a pretty big install and will take up a good amount of your space. But it is a huge game with a ton of stuff to do and great features.

I'm sure you can find demo's of Metalion and Age of Empires. Here is a demo for Siberian Strike however. http://www.handango.com/pdablast/Pl...productId=44714&sectionId=0&catalog=30&title=

Dunno what specifically it was about WB Advance (yes I had advance) but it didn't "click" with me, whereas Magic Button does.

I'll try out those games sometime. I've played AoE previously and it was allright (PC version that is), maybe I'd like it more on a handheld.
