- Microsoft announced they have canceled the release of True Fantasy Live Online for Xbox, official announcement said "True Fantasy Live Online was in development with the aim to be the largest, ultimate MMORPG experience...We anticipated that the game could not progress to a state where it could offer an original online game to everyone, and regrettably decided to discontinue development.".

not surprising, this game has been in the works longer than halo 2.

So's Fable, which is delayed AGAIN recently. Bad omen for that one. Microsoft Games Studio seems to be in poor shape.

is fable that one single player game where you grow older, change appearances, and interact with npc based on the actions you do in game? i saw that like 2 years ago in a mag and it looked interesting. oh no. :crying:

That's the one. Been in development since before the Xbox launched, I believe.

well fable was playable at E3, it should most definetly come out.

Anyways, yea well I was actually barely informing myself of this game, reading an old XBOX Nation Mag (like a year old actually)

I seem to remember one of the quotes as being something like

"This game is Microsoft's last attempt to sell Xboxes in Japan" or something like that

Oh well.

This is the second official release date this game has had, if you have been watching. The first was june 16th.

about fable, I've moved on. I mean hell, I more waiting for the next kotor game to
come out.
looking at fable now isn't really that impressive.
anyways, terrible about tfol. I was told fishing would be implemented in the game.
I would have really enjoyed that.

Fable Fable..... I sort of gave up hope of playing it in the next coming 2yrs...

but was the original name given to it? Project Ego?

Anyway, kinda sad that this one is cancelled....

Nah. I've never seen a person choose GUTTS/GATTS without knowing about Berserk. It's just not very known around the sites, yet. Now if the anime got on some widely broadcasted thing like Adult Swim or something, loads of people would be donning those avatars.

We're still in the age in which Cloud/FF7 is seen more as the cool man with big sword, than GATTS. Only because Berserk hasn't quite hit mainstream viewing.

To tell you the truth, I'd rather it stay that way. Guts right now is way too fucking cool for the mainstream to truly appreciate.

And Mexicant, the manga is still being currently written, so another season in the future might not be too farfetched ;)

My wife (it's still weird writing that) was pretty disheartened when I told her the news of this title's cancellation, as she was very much looking forward to it.
This comes from a girl who barely knew what a videogame was before I met her and had only beat SMB1 before I started her on a beat-one-game-every-month-or-so kick starting around Christmas. :buttrock:

She wanted to be a merchant in TFLO...
