Doesn't a cover song usually infer that there's actually something DIFFERENT about the song? Its just recycled sounds and samples from the actual song.

My thoughts exactly. Though you do have to give Gene Simmons credit for changing so little of the song and yet ruining it so thoroughly. Aside from fucking around with a perfectly harmonious arrangement, ‘ol Tongue Man took an anthem of angst & rebellion and turned it into some beer-swigging, Frat wet dream of T&A and power chords. Robert Goulet would have had more respect for the source material than this washed-up circus freak..
