Well, KOF has been around a long time, 10 years to be exact.
The game has gone through MANY changes, and one of them is the Main Hero of the series.

Kyo burst into the scene and impressed us with his ventures throughout the Orochi Saga.
Then, the angsty K' came from nowhere which fired up NESTS's plans

Then last year, we were introduced to this eccentric pretty boy, Ash. And he proved that not all heroes are on good side.

-well, i just wanna hear your opinions on who is your favorite? both gameplay wise and story wise...

For my vote, i choose Kyo (pre-99, the one in HS uniform), cuz he was a great character, easy to learn and a great for begginers... and story wise, he was badass, an ordinary (meybe not..) HS student practically saved the world from the evil that is Orochi (along with the help of Chizuru and the red haird dude), still he showed a lot of coolness and his "whatever-just-fight" attitude is contradictory to what a "hero" is supposed to be.

So, I voted for K'. He looks so gay in that tighs, but he impose more respect IMO.

All of them are great characters, but Kyo Kusanagi gets my vote, my all time favourite character.

K' is very good as well, great design and unqie techniques.

The same can be said about Ash Crimson, even considering that most people here hate him, I really like him. Great design, and really entertaining to play.

That quote deserves my respect, but I cannot like Wolfenstein 3D, my religion does not let me like FPS games ;)

I like K' the best simply for stealing the spotlight from Kyo, the way Kyo did from Terry. Reap the whirlwind, Kyo.

Hehehe, I played the original Castle Wolfenstein at the Apple ][, and I was very suspicious when they turned it in a FPS. I would put a Apple's CW av, but I didn't found a good screenshot :crying:

well, my 2nd choice would be Ash Crimson.. cuz he plays like my fave capcom char, Remy, and he's got style :buttrock: , he reminds me of Visual Kei bands, rocks (he actually has the same hairstyle with a guitarist from a Jrock band) :buttrock:

too true, the lone wolf will always be the first and best King of Fighters but since he's not a choice...

I voted for K' since he's kinda the reluctant hero. Not to mention he's link to Kyo and couldn't stop his arm from catching on fire in 2003.

I chose Kyo. He is well developed, and has evolved well over the years. I really like K', but he really turned dull after 2000, and I completely forgot about him. I just got KoF 03 yesterday, so I have yet to form an opinion on Ash.

Haircut similarity force me to choose Kyo Kusanagi.
There's nothing else to say, he's a great character, and that Iori "however-it's-spelled" Iagami is a great personal challenger. Plus there are other real bad guys to beat ('em) up for Kyo. wow! great chara!!!

I like them all, but Kyo is a bad ass, and 'K is also a bad mother f'er, I have the KOF '02 poster and it's just so cool. I like em all, I can't pick a favorite.

@Snair - I've got the same poster, I assume you have the same pink one. I for one ignore the pinkness :D

ASH- He is SO cool, he plays a lot like my favorite SF3 third strike character Remy. He's also by far the most homo of the three.

Kyo. K' is okay, but I don't like him anywhere near as much as Kula. Not much to say about Ash design-wise, but gameplay-wise he's alright.
