I've heard several people say that they'll never sell any of their games. Which got me thinking. Either they don't buy many games or they've got a heap of games just sitting around that they probably don't remember . So what side are you on?

Personally, I'll keep a game around until I get REALLY sick of it or I haven't played it in so long that I have no plans to play it again. Ex. Castlevania:LOI finished all the modes and I didn't think the game was that ground breaking to begin with. I'd get bored going through it again so I traded it in for something else.

I make it a point to buy games that I really want and therefor I hardly ever sell any of my games.

I'm in the 'I won't sell any of my treasured SNK games because I'm a fanboi and I derive great satisfaction from playing them' but who knows, maybe 2 decades from now and all of a sudden classic games come back into vogue, people on blogger everywhere go 'ohmigod Teh DC port of Garou: Mark of the Wolves Best Evar fap fap fap' I would definitely be very tempted to sell the game for the 13000+ that it may fetch in auction houses. But then again, at the rate our dollar is weakening that $13000 is probably gonna be worth only 5 Euros.

I never sell any of my collection,it all goes to my son..

I do sell games/systems that I buy to sell and sometimes I'll get rid of duplicates I have of systems or games.
Sometimes I sit on systems and games I bought to sell until they are selling better.
(Checking Ebay)
I'm sitting a bunch of Nintendo's & games right now that I need to list soon..

Otherwise I don't sell anything that I bought for myself,I don't trade anything in either.

Depends, I'll sell current gen games in a heart beat if I dont like it very much (Counter-Strike and Sonic Megacollection are on that list).

My MVS games are a little different, if its not on my list of definate keeper games It can go.

I dont sell systems though, I have to keep them just in case.

SNES and stuff I dont sell either, they dont get enough money to make it worth it and they are mostly fun.

The condition that a majority of my games are in only hours after purchase tell me that I wouldn't get much money on them. Thus, I keep it all.

Besides, after ten years, no one wants Shaq-Fu. mookystains did at one point.

mooky, where is you.....?

I used to be in the "I'll never sell my games catagory" until I relaized I had 5 bookshelves in my room without a single book on them and a bunch of rubbermaid containers full of games. Then I decided to let them go.

I don't plan on selling anything anytime.
the things I do sell is stuff I usually never really wanted in the first place
that I found for a bargain somewhere.
I absolutely know that if I really did decide to sell off stuff I would not get what
I paid for it. not what I think I value whatever I have as anyways.
I would rather it rot with me than rot with someone else while I walk off
with enough to get a burger and fries.
as for the NEO stuff.
it's all going to the grave with me.
or hell. metaphorically speaking. I'm leaning towards being burned when I'm gone.
might as well take it with me.

It depends the new crop of games (PS2,Xcrap,GC,GBA) I dont really care about they seem to get boring pretty quickly or have no replay value. so I usually trade them for older more collectable games(NES,SNES,GEN)
Neo and import/rare games I tend to keep and cherish but if they dont get played or I get to much stuff the collection must be weeded through. Its just not good to stock pile a bunch of stuff you dont have time to play.

I've sold lots of games over the last year or so. I used to have over 300 games, now I got a little more than a 100. Also cut my MVS stuff in half over the last year. I'll buy some of it back at some point, and probably even get back into homecarts down the road too.

I used to never sell anything, mainly because of my bad experiences with these Buy, Sell, Trade places, but now if I really don't like something or I just haven't played it in a long time and don't see myself wanting to play it, it goes straight to eBay. There's a lot of stuff I've been meaning to sell. Having money is nice.

Things like good fighters and shooters never get sold.

Good RPGS and stuffs like Metal Gear Solid will sit in my collection for good.

But... those simply over hyped ones and no replay values diddos goes out!!

Someday somehow, you will sell part of your collection.... it always happens to nice dudes with good collections... I wonder why....

I usually never sell anything. I only sell if I find the same game in better condition/complete.

Just sell them and be done with it.
CHances are, you'll buy more and more games as the years progress. You'll be strapped for time as well, so it makes no sense to hold onto things you'll likely never use again.
Sell, get money, and buy something useful like a car or whatever.
