I've never played it in my life.

I'm intrigued. I'm thinking of picking a machine up for my house.

Anyone want to tell me if I should or not... is it all that fun.. etc.. etc...?

It can be a lot of fun, the appeal to most people is in the winning of money though. It's like having a slot machine in your house, they're more of a novelty than anything because you aren't winning any real money when you hit the jackpot.

Yeah, but I would still so play the game at home than in the millions of Pachinko parlors in Japan. Those joints are just filled to the brim with cigarette smoke, it's just lung cancer in the making. Although you will probably go deaf well before you are diagnosed with lung cancer, because the roar of noise is deafening.

Pachinco and Pachisuro can be very addictive and unlike slot machines it has dissernable patterns that you can learn to become more skilled.

Played it once seven years or so ago, lost $50 in about 15 minutes and decided never to play it again.

Then again, I've known people to make $500 or more at it in one session.

If a Pachinko machine can be had on the cheap then go for it. I had one {well my family did} when I was growing up, but it unfortunately got sold off at a garage sell we had. It's not the greatest thing in the world but it's alright. Never got to play for money or get prizes, just for novelty.

I'd say Yes...

I'm going to buy one of these newer type Pachinko machines soon...
But I'm still looking for an older type..

I know a guy in Seattle that has a few of both..the new type and the old..He likes playing them a lot as he says his family does too.

I've been wanting to buy one of the Vintage type older Pachinko machines for awhile now..
Like below.

They look to be quite fun and I know my son will get a kick out of it. :p

But,I haven't found one that was either reasonably priced with shipping/worked,or that wasn't missing the balls.... :(
(I'm still looking for a deal :smirk: )

I actually saw one on Ebay two nights ago that is reasonably priced but no shipping is listed and the seller hasn't responded to my inquires about it yet.

Awhile back I saw a decent looking old type Pachinko at my local flea market(missing balls/needed some work) I figured he'd want $50.00 at least.
When I asked he said $250.00 .....I passed..

Pachinko is a hell of a lot of fun, but it's at its finest when you're drunk off your ass in a parlor. I won about $100 my first time, although I'm not quite sure how much of a winning streak it takes before you're roughhoused out by a bunch of Yakuza.

Anyway about the machines, as you've already seen, there's countless different types, most all of them badass and unique in theor own way.

I played it quite a bit in Shenmue 2... :D

That's ALL I did in 'mue 2. I worked for the guys, I paid to play... Fun as hell. Just like Casino games to me, I play for the fun of it, not for the money, yea, I know I'm crazy, but at least I'm not greedy!

Anybody watch "Price is Right?" Plinko is the same thing!!!!

Pachislo is fun too

As stated before, Pachislo is like slots, but you stop the reels (Skill Stop).

as friend of mine imports them from Japan and reconditions them

I hope this helps

Pachislo USA

The game room I work at has a Terminator Pachislo machine. We had it out in the game room and did well. Now we use it like the casinos...give customers a free spin on it for prizes ;)

Lately I've been having the same urges.
Not too interesting to have in your house, I don't think...
But if I lived in Japan? I'd be out until 5 am everyday playing on the all nighters.
That place is an insomniac's heaven.

VT - you've got too much money. I'll save you the trouble of trying to find a Pachinko machine that you'd like, and you can just send it to my broke (relatively) ass. It won't have to go through any bullshit agencies where 90% of the donation gets sucked up by administrative fees - it'll go straight to your boy galfordo, and you can enjoy the sweet satisfaction of knowing that you've helped the less fortunate. :D
