After you beat abubo you see him in a picture with two girls. Looking through the sprites they are both included as chara animations. under what conditions do they appear in game.

Interesting point, I've never ever seen them outside of that one scene...

Umm, they accompany Abubo in his intro (where he yells) and run off before the match starts. I'm not sure if this is only vs. cpu or two players, I think it's just vs. cpu.

Or I could be remembering wrong.

They even both have that "flopping fish" normal :)

OK tell you what, I'm gonna play through ROTD and see, it'll take me 15 minutes at most.

ok once and for all, I just saw this against CPU abubo, in a minute I'll try it against 2P.

The two women (Roxy and someone else, forget the other's name) are holding each one of his arms as he's dressed with a longsleeved collar shirt with a tie. He does his yell which breaks off the shirt and they run off. They're not playable characters by any stretch.

You know, Andy, I think maybe Evoga was kinda trying to rip off Hugo, what with one of the normals being the same, and with his assistants who run off...

gonna try this in 2P.

And the same thing happens in a normal two player Vs. game.

A lot of the later SNK products had a lot of ripoff stuff, but even older stuff as well.

Oh, and my bad about the Hugo/Abobo thing, I played ROTD so long ago I didn't remember if he came with any ladies or not...

I thought it was Linda but I honestly was all "wait wait but there's another character named Lynn so wtf I must be wrong".

Believe it or not I've never played another Double Dragon game :O.
