What is the national anthem of England ?
It is not "God Save The Queen", that belongs to The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Or may be it is assumed that this covers England.
Ireland(Ulster),Scotland and Wales have anthems, what is Englands ?
Is it " land of hope and glory"

I think it is, the English National Football Team sing "God save the Queen".

They have different anthems?
That's the question.

Scotland has Flower of Scotland or Scotland the Brave depending your taste. England Rugby uses Swing Low Sweet Chariot for reasons as yet unexplained while Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem are other possible contenders.

You have to remember that while the UK is the country it is composed of nations, still proud of their identity.

To be honest, they whole thing is a bit of a confused mess. There isn't really an answer.

According to this
http://www.geocities.com/CollegePark/Library/9897/
Its "Land of Hope and Glory".
The funny thing is that at a sporting event, take the 6 nations rygby union, they use God Save the Queen ?
Is there a really a definetive answer ?

"The National Anthem of England"
Land of Hope and Glory
Land of Hope and Glory,
Mother of the free,
How shall we extole thee,
Who are born of thee,
Wider and still wider,
Shall thy bounds be set,
God who made the mighty,
Make thee mightier yet!!,
God who made thee mighty,
Make thee mightier yet!

This is kinda strange.

The official anthem of every nation usually is their militar one ( if they have more than one that is ).

Better search for "military national anthem" for a more acurate result.
