I am very excited about this game, everytime I see the trailers, it keeps getting better and better, just curious to know how many of you are waiting for this game to come out?

Delays are making me disinterested. The only time I will ever be "excited" is when it shows up on a shelf.

Yeah I know, the only thing that is keeping me interested in the game is watching the trailers :D

No, not at all. I can't imagine ANYBODY on a VIDEO. GAMING. WEBSITE. being excited about one of the most anticipated VIDEO. GAMES. OF. ALL TIME.

It looks like a standard FPS with great graphics.

That's what it looks like to me.

I'm definitely buying, but I hope it's a frag-fest in the same vein as the original Doom. I like Half-Life and other FPS's with tons of puzzles and storyline, but Doom needs to be straight up action. Find the blue key and exterminate every demon and zombie soldier in sight.

It's at the top of my "must have FPS games" list. I doubt it's going to be all out action like the original, it seems to be some kind of suspenseful survival action type game like RE, but with all the Doom trimmings.

Can't friggin wait! :D

Well, it's supposedly scary as all hell.
That'll be good :D

Fuck, I got scared when a headcrab took 4 HP off me in the Half Life vents.

I put my PC together for this game... nearly 2 years ago. How do I feel about it now? I couldn't give a fuck less at this point. I barely play games anymore, and when I do, it's sure as hell not on a PC. Working on PCs all day at work kind of keeps me from wanting to do anything with them when I'm not at work.

I'm pretty psyched about it I guess - but it's not exactly at the top of my list. I'm more excited about the megaman collection and midway arcade treasures.

Hell yes. When it comes out, I'll celebrate by buying a new comp to play Doom 3... not to mention Half-Life 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004. :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

snore.

I'm sure it will be great, and revolutionary and everything, but I really just burnt out on FPS about 4 (or 5?) years ago, and even thinking about playing another is like thinking about going to the dentist for me (thinking about Halo is like thinking about going to the DMV for me). Well, you asked... I don't know why it happened that way, but at the same time I can play other games I've been playing for 10 years with no problem. Same thing happened with RPGs -- can't stand them anymore, but I used to love them. Weird.

I'm an admitted total Doom fanboy. Hell, when Doom 2 came out in '94 I skipped an entire week of school just to say home and play it. I figure I'll have to put in for some vacation at work when D3 finally comes out.

Oldschool Doom gameplay + Newschool graphics = Teh Fappage!!

I can't wait!

Meh...not really. I'm sure I'll be more excited as the release date nears. The game will defiantly give UT2k4 some competition. You can't deny Doom is a classic 1st person shooter!
