unibios 1.3 feedback needed

Hi,

Calling the people out there with a MVS, unibios 1.3 and some games. Can you answer any of these questions for me... note, must be unibios 1.3 and not earlier versions.

1) Kof2003 original MVS version. Does the game pass the crc check? if so, what is the ROM REGION crc?

2) Kof2003 original MVS version. Does sound play ok in the jukebox if you enter the unibios menu/jukebox direct from system power on (this means without letting the game run first and then using the soft reset option)?

3) Kof2003 original MVS version. Anyone having trouble getting the game to play with a japanese text on multislot hardware?

4) Kof2003 original MVS version. Please tell me the name of the game as it appears in the SoftDIP list. Didicated and Bootlegs use // K.O.F. '03 // , Does the original version use the same, if not, what does it use?

5) SVC original MVS version. Does sound play ok in the jukebox if you enter the unibios menu/jukebox direct from system power on (this means without letting the game run first and then using the soft reset option)?

6) Any game. Does sound always stop playing right away once selecting the soft reset option in the ingame menu if there is sound playing at the time of reset?

7) Multislot users. Have you noticed any problems in the process of changing slots when using the Jukebox or crc check? Do all graphics still show ok once exiting these options back to the main menu? If there is a problem please describe and mention the type of multislot you have.

8) Multislot users. If you let the system run through attract mode (auto swapping through games) have you ever seen any address error come up at any point? If so can you give me the details of the error, a picture would be great if possible.

Yes it passes. Sorry raz where do I find the region crc?

Yes fine

jap txt only in aes mode

The same.

Oh and in arcade mode you cant turn on blood and bounce in the soft dips. It changes to on but does not work. You have to use the cheats . and no bounce in aes mode without cheat.

So there is no way to play with japanese text when region set to Japan in arcade mode? You have a 2SLOT if I remember right yes? Is this also the same if you set the system to Japan arcade then clear the backup ram (from the hardware test in test mode) and then reboot?

Thats right, 2 slot. And no even if you clear the backup ram and reboot there is no Japanese txt in arcade mode.

Ok, I have had a look though the game code and think I may have found some code that could be causing this problem. Can you do this..

- Set region to Japan, Arcade.
- Exit universe bios menu and Power off the system.
- Power on and watch kof2003 attract mode.

Basically I want to know if there is Japanese or English text on the section of kof2003 attract mode when the letter is spinning in the background. If its in English it will say 'King of Fighters 2003 begins...'

Also, do you have a SLOT1 you can check the game on?

Still no Japanese language in the attract sequence.

Oh and I only have a 2 slot.
