Well,i ordered a Sonic Adventure 2 Birthday pack, because i like the game and it was a nice collectors item.I finnaly get it,and the box is waterlogged, and smells musty,as it sat in a damn basement for weeks, and the manual for the unopened game has discoloring. Also the collectors box(not the packaging one) has a nice dent in it,like when you drop a cardboard box and the edge hits the pavement hard. And last but not least, the foil on the sonic birthday logo is chipping.Im not very happy with it,but i dont have the time and patience to send it back,as i can deal with it,but i thought this was supposed to be a grade a place to buy from,Ive seen great reviews, and heard many people say good things about this place.I dont know, anyone else have a bad time?

Interesting. They do have a really nice reputation. I ordered my GP32 from them and it came in perfect condition (The shipping box was barely scuffed, it looked like it was handled carefully). Don't know what to say. What shipping did you choose?

That sucks d00d, sound like they just put your order into a [supposedly] water tight container and let the drift of the Pacific Ocean current carry it to U.S.A.

I've ordered tons of stuff from Play-Asia, never with EMS shipping, and I've never had a problem. I've only ever bought brand new items, though, never anything used.

I've had problems with shipping instructions in the past, and they ignore complaints.

I don't use them anymore.

I too am waiting for my Sonic2 to arrive, I couldn't pass up that price ($10).

as for problems; not really.

When I ordered, the paypal link didn't work for some reason, so I paid with a credit card. I got an e-mail from play-Asia asking for a photo-copy of my card and picture ID. Apparently my CC was not a "verified" card.

I told them that there was no way in hell I was going to fax that shit out, and I asked for a paypal account to send the money.

I recieved a very fast reply, with the paypal account addy. I paid. They semt an e-mail within the hour stating that my package had been sent.

I'll let you know how it looks when it arrives.

They seem a little shaky to me - my stuff eventually came but they took their sweet time getting it out to me. I'd be hesitant to order collector-type items (or anything of significant value) from them.

Aside from shipping, I've also had very good experiences communicating with their support staff. It's sad to hear that people have had not-so-good run transactions with them, as they're definitely my company of choice to buy from. Personally, I've had far worse dealings with NCS over the years.

I have ordered several very expensive items from them and never had any problems. Anything can happen once the shipping company gets there hands on a package. :mad_2:

I have probably ordered close 8 or 10 times from them and not once did I have a problem. I always get a bit nervous with them as it is just pretty much put on a ship and mailed over. If you want to be less nervous I recomend that you pay for the higher shipping prices. I always get the cardboard box option too.

Sorry to hear about this problem. Every once in a while I will hear a complaint about them. I would recomend that you email them about it.

When you check out at Play-Asia, it gives you the option of getting either an envelope or a box. The box option is usually a few dollars more, but always worth it.

I picked the 'box' option just for teh sonic2....if I was just getting the cables and t-shirt (see pic), then I would have just went for the bubble bag....
