Is Ogre still with Skinny Puppy? I liked Ogre's music in Descent 2.

If this music is anything like D2's, I may look into this.

Well, that does it for me. I'll be picking this up along with River City Ransom. Danny Carey is one of the best drummers... if not the best, ever.

Can't wait to hear this album.

If you want to see what Skinny Puppy's all about, get Singles Collect. If you like that, continue. If not, then never mind. It's like a very trippy, sample driven, lyrical mumbling NIN. Sorry, can't think of a better way to describe it to someone that's never heard it before. I can see people screaming at me for comparing to NIN, but I say if you haven't heard of SP, then I'm hoping you've at LEAST heard of NIN. ;)

I loved the song from the Underworld soundtrack by SP. I can't wait to pick up this CD.

80's industrial's back... ?

I can't believe this came out and I didn't even know about it. My friends and I got really into them in Jr. High, the first album I got was "Last Rights".

I think their best album is Too Dark Park. Skinny Puppy released a live in germany "Doomsday" album in 2000 that is pretty amazing. Features a REALLY cool version of warlock.

This is wicked news! Shingo Hibiki- Thank YOU

Skinny Puppy is definitely an aquired taste. I personally liked the Process, many people didn't. It was too poppy and mainstream sounding for most ppls tastes, but I thought it was great. Check that one out too. Amazing this band can hold together, with all the tumoil that has torn them up though the years.. Band disagreements, drug problems, natural disasters... Trent Reznor cites Skinny Puppy as a major influence, BTW.

Also check out some of Ogres team ups with KMFDM. The lyrics are very simliar in these songs:

"Torture" off of the Symbols album
"Full Worm Garden" off of Adious

SP just isn't the same without Dwayne :( Kevin's recent solo albums have been pretty good though.

Heh, yeah, I've at least heard of NIN. I was actually looking for a copy of Pretty Hate Machine while I was there, but to no avail. Overall, I think this was a better find anyway.

I was not a fan of The Process, but some of their other stuff was amazing. Too Dark Park is one of my favorites, Rabies is slightly better in my book. I use to have their entire discrotograpy until I lefy it on the El in Chicago one fuzzy afternoon... Now all I have had is Clense Fold and Minpulate VIVisectiN and the first 2 Download albums.

Can anyone tell me the date/time they are comming to New Orleans? I need to get tickets, but their site does not like to work with my PC at work :)

Yes, I will be buying this album.

I can't say if it's better, but it is growing on me. I said that because I never really expected to see a Skinny Puppy CD there. It's weird, I've never even thought of looking for any SP albums before and the one time I do I come accross this. Even weirder, I find it the day after the album came out too. Too bad I can never seem to find a copy of Pretty Hate Machine. Most of the NIN stuff I have heard is from that album, so I'd like to get it before jumping into any of the other albums.
