I just bought some a few ago on ebay and ofcourse some of them have clear scotch tape on them.. I'm talkin tape thats been there for years.

I managed to remove the tape but the residue is still there.. So how can i remove that without damaging the marquee? Can i use rubing alcohol?

isopopyl alchohol or ethanol is ok, dont use acetone as it can damage the surface.

No..if used lightly and rubbed on with a rag or paper towel..
I don't think it'll mess it up anyway even if you soaked it in it..but I've never tried that so I can't say....

I only use a light amount..

I second the recommendation of 'Goo Gone'.

I've used it on marquees (as well as TONS of other stuff), and nothing works better for removing gummy residue.
