this looked a lot like socom from the footage, any good? or is it like RE:Outbreak?

It's excellent.
It's SOCOM without the deathmatch. All the missions are co-op. Very Sweet. I'm not sure how RE4 plays.
I beta'd it and the fixes they put out for it put it ahead of SOCOM, hands down. How many times in SOCOM can you just go out and slaughter people, get killed, wait 10 minutes and do it again? Boring! SF is an incredibly engaging game...
This game is what online gaming SHOULD be like.

I might rent it to check it out, all my other past ps2 online experiences BLOW. This machine was not meant to be online from what I have seen so far.

It's an UNBELIEVABLE game. It's got tons of unlockables, the levels are BIG and FUN and the team aspectmakes it all worth it.
I've *Never* been this sucked into a game.... ever. (Halo, Marathon series included.. that's saying a LOT)
I'll get more into it later, I'm going back to playing it again.
