mvs not jamma why ?

I see on hard mvs some motherboards as jamma and some as mvs . Whats the difference ? Alll i see is one different less power needed ? So expand for me will you ? And what happens if left in a jamma harness ?

Well, honestly the only problem with leaving a MVS board in a JAMMA harness is if the JAMMA is wired for mono and the board is outputting stereo. Eventually that will damage the sound on the board, however it would probably take a little while for that to happen.

As for the -5, it isn't needed on the MVS boards and is ignored, it wouldn't cause any problems to have that wired at all.

thats what I say so why was somebody saying that you cant use a consolised mvs as also a supergun ?

Multi-slots are dedicated MVS. ie stereo sound option (there are other subtle differences between jamma/mvs, check the links below)

Single slots are more or less designed to plug directly into generic jamma cabs, the exeptions ar the MV-1 and 1F, they have a mono-stereo switch, the other one slot versions are mono like most jamma boards and can plug and play in a jamma cab without any mod to the cab.
