For those of you who are Power Ranger fans (the original ones especially) should check out Power Rangers Dino Thunder on Saturdays. The green ranger of the first series (as well as white ranger) Tommy is back in the show!

Sorry if this has already been posted.

I actually got a torrent of the pilot (though the parts had inverted titles). But before that, I actually read the synopses of the Japanese counterpart (Abaranger), and it was an interesting concept--the plot involved a parallel Earth in which the dinosaurs, instead of dying, evolved into something like your typical "Zord." I'm sort of curious as to how, or if, they'll implement some of the plotpoints of Abaranger into this series (kind of like how they did with previous series).

I know!!! Tommy is back in Black. This time! They had an episode where they previewed all of the classic Power Ranger shows. So the new Power Rangers found out about Tommy's diary of his past and so on. I have no clue why Iam watching the show...Iam guessing it must be that Yellow Power Ranger. :tickled:

I remember trying to find a dragonzord back in the day when it first came out.
I ended up getting instead, a reproduction voltron. not great, but good enough.
god I miss the days of die cast toys.

The one based off the movie and the fighting game were better.

This is sounding like they are turning it into Zoids.

I have been oversleeping on saturdays, so I havent seen any of this and keep missing my other cartoons :(

I like the original Power Rangers which came out when I was in Elementary School. But, I just can't believe that PR has gone on this long. There way too many series to PR. I just stopped watching after the original because it got too confusing.

Yeah, they're still going on in Japan, too. I think now Disney's the US licensee now. They've been that way since about the middle of Wild Force (Gaoranger).

Yeah a friend of mine was telling me he was back. But that still didnt interest me. Just after the 2nd incarnation of the Power Rangers I started loosing interest. The original was great but then it just got too dumb.

[edit]
I would love to get the full original series on my PC though. Including the sereies with the white ranger.

the series went to crap when they got a kid to be the blue ranger and it fully went to hell when they went to space.

i liked those episodes were the blue ranger didn't know any karate.

I grew up watching japanese sentai shows... the US versions just seem too extra cheesy to me. Feels like Saved by the Bell w/ robots. However I still collect diecast robots and japanese megazords. The japanese versions of the megazords tend to have more diecast, better detail and of course much better box art.
