Used Dreamcast,only $14.99!

Well,my older dreamcast died on me like a week ago,the laser started to act up,and i hade fiddiling around with the dumb tensity screw,so i decided to invest in a new one.Thats when i went to the local Electroics Botique in the mall,to see if they had some(Note:i payed 25$ for this recent dreamcast that had broke,in this same store).So,i see the bright orange Used dreamcast box,and i look at the pricetag $14.99,I mean,sure,they are an "old" system for an electronics store,but wow,thats a damn good price! so i get it home,expecting a used pos dreamcast,all crusty and nasty.I open the box,this thing has barely been used! Absolutley no scratches on the casing,and it works flawlessly,and still had free internet.Friggin' awsome,so i suggest if you need a new Dremacast,and theres a local Electronics Boutique,go see if its the same price and pick one up,because $15 for a dreamcast is damn good.

apparently they only give like $5 when you sell them one.

Yea,thats why i refuse to trade in stuff anymore,really getting ripped off if you thinka bout it.I traded in mario party 5 when it first came out,i got 20$ for it,i never traded in anything again.I must say the dreamcast was a good pickup,but i refuse to trade anything in.

Always check the sytem first, I bought a used DC at gamecrazy once and when I got it home I found that the AV cable was in two pieces.

you can get a DC for $10.25 at my local thriftstore.

EB and their empty Dreamcast boxes that they display PROMINENTLY are one life's greatest annoyances. This happened to me at at least 3 different stores. I finally picked up a REALLY shitty one for $15 from the swap meet... of course, fucking kid said it worked and it didn't. It worked out in the end though since I only needed the battery unit out of it (I had clipped the previous one as a jerryrig way of playing JAP games, only worked for certain ones) so I could use a bootdisc. What a hassle.

I think either EB or GS had a sale once where they were around $9.99 and that's just crazy. I never get around to playing my DC anymore but it's graphics are far superior to most of the current gen systems. And you say duh, it IS a current gen system. Why o why did it have to fail?

Good going man....$14.99..that's a great price.

Awhile back I bought two of them to re-sell..($25 each)

One had a non working driver..(The lens didn't move)
And it came with a Playstation RF switch... .Scratched up case..

The second units controller ports didn't work..
After I fired up the first one I was happy when a game loaded in this one only to find out the controller ports didn't work.. Nice casing.

If I remember one had the wrong AC plug wire that didn't fit in right..(No biggie)

I basically lost money at that point..either one was worth anything.
I bought them each to sell with several DC games I picked up in a lot..

What I had to do is combine the two to make one..
That worked and I did make my money back plus profit after selling it.
(I combined the two while my buddy watched)

I was left with..
A non working Dreamcast ..Driver/Controller Port/PS RF switch/wrong AC plug..
I sold it listed "BROKEN" on Ebay and someone bought it and apparently fixed it as he said...

I had asked my buddy to pick them up for me while he was at the store,and I didn't think they wouldn't work or not come with the right pieces..."The trust I had for EB" ..
I didn't get a chance to check them right away,but when I did
My buddy goes and loses the Receipt so I was truly screwed,teaching me the lessen...... if you want something done right do it yourself..
