Well, it sure is expensive, but for that price it includes a double cab and the motherboard... I would be interested in knowing the price of just the game cart, although it is pretty likely that, at least in the beginning, they won't be selling the game without the motherboard... That's what appearently is happening with the previous AW games.

And in case somebody wonders:

919,800.00 JPY = 8,157.87 USD =6,780.69 EUR

On a side note, it's expensive as hell even including a double cab...

Can somebody translate this?

but seriously i thought i saw something on sammy us website about retailing games cart only this year. hopefully the delay from the initial release isn't that long. i'm dying to put something else in my aw other than dolphin blue :)

At $9,000 USD all I can say is thank God for ports.

Why the hell do they not sell the individual Atomiswave carts by themselves? Its not like a need a new fucking MoBo for every game I buy.

That's insane. My friend that runs the FYE arcades on the east cost are saying that's a main reason why arcades are dying. The machines cost WAY too much and they'll never make the money back on them. And that's the main problem because many of the games that do come out are huge racing games.

But Nine grand is just way too much for a fighting game. Hopefully they will sell it without the cab, because that's crazy.

The last one talks about some sort of Guilty Gear Isuka setup (2 cabs maybe). 1st price is without tax, 2nd price includes tax

KOF 2002 is the same game anyway.

Or you could buy 3 cabs, 3 4-slot boards and all of the KOFs from '94-'03, and still have money left over...

I have a feeling NeoWave is not worth that.

This is the price I wanted to know, the cart alone one.

198000 yen = 1,459.64 EUR = 1,756.10 USD

I'm happy they are selling it separately for a not-so-bad price for the arcade market. I also hope they put this game in a lot of the current AW cabs in location, so their old games are sold in loose cart format for more affordable prices for private users. And of course I'll be expecting for Neowave's price itself to drop, but since I'm not really pumped about this game I'm in no hurry to get it, so I'll wait for its price to be reeeeeeeal low.

Extremely expensive for home users like us, but we are talking about a brand new arcade game that can bring a lot of money in location. That price is not far from what MVS titles like KoF 02, SvC (pcb version) or I guess KoF 03 costed when they were just released. However the price of those MVS games dropped like a rock in very few months, basically because of bootlegs. The price of KoF Neowave will drop for sure as well, but it's a wonder how fast will it drop as there are no bootlegs, but at the same time the AW is not a popular board yet... We'll have to wait and see.

I would really like to have more info about how do those set-ups work.... I guess the communication cartridge is for the AW-net service. But what about the "joint harness" and "AW Multi player System"? For linking 2 cabs you need 2 motherboards?
