best graphics on the ps2 ever? gameplay is sweet as well. fly over the pacific islands level or the amazon level and check out the graphics... view distance, frame rate and almost no fogging with nice grass and trees. impressive.

Its a fucking shame this isn't ported to PC... and its Atari for gawd sakes! But damn the trailer looks schweet doesn't it?

It would totally rule if there was a Transformers 2.5 D fighter. Atomiswave would be a perfect platform.

Oh yea.. :buttrock:

I played the OPM demo and liked it very much.
That amazon level is amazing.

This will be one of my next game purchases.

Speaking of Transformers and Fighting games, did that melee fighter with Optimus and stuff ever come out?

Yes "that melee fighter" did come out. It's called DreamMix TV: World Fighters. It came out for the PS2 and GC in Japan. It has Optimus Prime, Megatron, Simon Belmont, Bomberman, the guy from Adventure Island, Solid Snake, and some other characters in it. It's a decent, and somewhat strange fighting game. Not as good as melee, but is fun to play with some friends.

Coming out here / playable without japanese knowledge?

It hasn't been announced for the US. It's very playable without Japanese knowledge. I don't know any japanese. There's a FAQ at Gamefaqs that will tell you what everything is. If you have ever played any other imports before you should have no problem.

I loved the demo for this PS2 Transformers game, and have heard nothing but positive things from people who've played it (barring one magazine review that didn't like the controls, but I was fine with them) -- so it will without a doubt be my next PS2 purchase (as soon as I play through Red Dead Revolver 3 or 4 more times). And the graphics are extremely impressive.

It's always nice to see a new developer (new to me, anyway) pop up with something that stands out this much. Not to mention that it completely blows away the Japanese-developed Transformers game I had actually been waiting for. I'm already looking forward to Melbourne House's next project.

I only got to see a TV ad for it and a video demo at my local EB store. I've heard nothing but great things about it...

My friend has this game also. He runs it on a modified PS2. It was ok, if you are a melee fighting game fan, its worth getting, but I'm not into those types.

A very technical Transformers fighter would so fuckin pwn, I'd buy a system just to have it.
