Weird KOF2003 Glitch...

As we know... in order to fight Mukai as the final boss we need to beat Kusanagi using an SDM or LDM rite?

Well something weird happened... I had Kim and Ash left in my team, was playing Kim with very little health left Kusanagi got close to me, I did the QCF,QCF + K SDM, then at the same time, he uppercutted me, Both got killed, then simply Ash came out to perform the winpose... Even so I was supposed to fight Mukai rite?... well... when I reached the final boss I fought Adel instead of Mukai...

Any Ideas why? :spock:

Just programming priorities, I think:

if (you win the battle) {

if (you last move was SDR or LDM) {

Fight Mukai

}

} else {

No Mukai for you.

}


The computer simply verified that a double KO occurred, since you (your last character, Kim) didn't won the battle. So, Ash was considered the winner (no opponent to face) but because he didin't finish anyone with a SDM/LDM, no criteria was fullfilled to the Match against Mukai.

Or, maybe because *your* last move was "character switch" and not DM/LDM.

Owned. If you beat Kusanagi via block damage from a SDM/LDM, do you still get to fight Mukai?

Yes, you get to fight Mukai via tick/block damage.

I have seen weirder glitches in this game, not just priority confussion ;)

I got a funny glitch type. I was Kyo, and my friend Kirk was Terry. I start Kyo's qcf+p, hcb+p, p. Terry jumps over me as I I'm doing the hcb+p. He starts to kick me and I finish the combo with the p and Terry falls to the ground. I thought it was hilarious.
