Metal Bondo or something for a CP?

I've got a metal control panel with more holes drilled in it than needed,
something like 10...and I saw on HardMVS that Briggs used Bondo to
fill the holes in his wood CP. I really want to fill these holes, sand the
metal finish down so that the holes are covered and paint it black -
but I have no idea what works with metal?

look for a product called JB Weld (auto part stores have them). Comes in two tubes, mix them until they turn grey and apply.

Devcon have a similar product called plastic weld, its an epoxy two mix compound that sets as hard as steel.

Do I need to stick something on one side to apply it?

Tape or something?

Stick some duct tape on the underside, then push an indentation from the top to allow the product to have a "base"
