Was interested in finding something out, I've noticed a lot of people, including myself recognize Kerry is hardly a good candidate. Rather, we'll be voting in the 'Anyone but Bush' camp in 2004. So is anyone here actually voting for Kerry for Kerry or voting for Kerry for the lesser of two evils.

I'm in that camp too Lithy. Kerry's not exactly running on all thrusters but as long as Bush flies back to Texas forever, its good to me.

And Nader is not an option.

I've read a good deal of his biography and read a bunch of his stumps. He really seems like a guy who sees through the projects he sets his hands on, at the same time he's one who can offer constructive criticism on prickly issues, which explains why he may still criticize parts of bills he supported, sometimes even give reserve opposition, and the reason why the GOP is painting him as flip-flop, so even for those who aren't ardent GOP the 'Kerry is a waffler' image has somewhat taken root.

Kerry has gravitas.
Bush just has gravy.

So, I'm voting for Kerry.

Perhaps you could just NOT purchase a gun.

Anyways, I'm "Anyone but Bush", as long as it's a democrat, naturally ;)

I'd have preferred Howard Dean...

Yeah, it’s a lot more convenient for me when you don’t shoot back...

Why the fuck do you have to think everybody wants to fucking shoot you? I'm sick of you paranoid Americans. Nobody has EVER pulled a gun on me, and I'll bet that VERY few, if any, of you have experienced it either!

Bah i'm in the Anyone But Bush camp. My vote is going for Kerry. I'm sure he wont be a horrible president or anything, he'll probably do a good job. Hopefully he wont end up like one of those shitty 19th century presidents.

Speaking of guns, only like 11 more months until i can apply for a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Thank you second amendment.

Because eventually gun control is going to become so extreme in this country it'll be a nightmare to even LOOK at one.

Buy a gun. Don't register it. Prepare to take back the White House.

I've had a gun pulled on me, and me having a gun wouldn't have made any difference. In fact, it probably would have got me killed. Having a cool head in this instance was a lot better than a firearm.

However, I still remain pro-choice as far as gun ownership goes, and your anti-gun tripe has become very very annoying. For every paranoid american preaching how good guns are, there is an annoying european preaching how evil they are.

In closing, just give it up. We don't care.

Holy shit, why was the gun pulled on you? Never happened to me, but there is a slight possibility it could happen.

lol, guys, it doesn't matter.
the country is fucked, ass up in the air.

if you're arguing this election over the candidates stances---you're an idiot.
they mean nothing once the person is in office.

this is beyond typical politics; it's beyond the realm of what many consider reality.
america is about to turn itself into a facist state, regardless of who comes into power.
they're all playing the same game, under the same control.

buy a few guns, try to spread the word, and hunker down.

My sentiments exactly.

I said all I had to in the gun control thread a while back, so IMO, there's no use writing it again here.

Anyone But Bush

In other words, John Kerry.

"John Kerry in '04- because he's not Bush" is as solid a campaign slogan as I'vbe ever heard for a candidate.

Good poll.

Actually, Kerry and Nader had a meeting yesterday (no, Kerry did not ask Nader to drop out), and Nader was quoted by the NY Times as saying in a phone interview (in a positive light) "He's very presidential"

I like this poll.

I'm pretty sure Bush will not win the elections this time or possibly will never win them again.

Bush election was so fake ( courts ???? ) to boot.

I wouldn't mind to vote even if I'm not american.

As a dear friend of mine at work said...

'I'd vote for Nick Berg's head over Bush.'

That's about where I'm at. Although I'd prefer Monty Brewster over Kerry.

I'll vote for Kerry, he's a very strong leader like Dubya, but he isn't as stubborn. Plus he's relatively liberal, which is a plus in this day and age.

I'm still not sure about gun control...while I support the basic provisions of the Assault Weapons ban, I also realize that the people using guns to commit crimes aren't buying them legally anyway, so punishing the average consumer (ala New Jersey's gun laws) seems like a waste of legislation to me. Just my $0.02.

Lithy, I think your poll is flawed.
Bush should have been included as an option, if only for the result to underline his lack of popularity. There are guys around here who would still vote for Bush.

Psshhh, maybe... if you could get him to stop shaking (low blow, I know).

If we're talking '80s-era Brewsters, we must pick Punky Brewster.

Actually, some one sorta pulled a gun on me - back when I used to be a hoodlum :).

A group of us was going over to a guy's house - a buddy of mine had a score to settle with him. We didn't plan on mobbing him or anything, but I can certainly understand how he may have gotten that impression. Anyway, the dude popped out of his front door and started shooting into the dirt, and we scattered like a bunch of bitches :tickled:

So the gun was actually pulled on a group of us - but it was still a little more than I had bargained for.

That's true, but this poll is really directed at those already not voting Bush not directed at the galfordo's, hopefully that will keep the thread a bit less crazy :)
