I am currently looking at this for my steering wheel for PS2:

Have I picked a good one or what are your suggestions? I plan on using this with GT3 as well as GT4 naturally.

The steering wheel definitely reminds me of the S2000's which I drove from House of Blues back to my house last Thursday night.

Hi Bro.

The GT Force Pro is undeniably the best PS2 wheel out there currently.
With it being the best, it also has a pricey tag. I've personally used it on one occasion so I can vouch for it's quality.

There's also the original GT Force which is solid enough but doesn't come with a gear shift.

Looking at alternatives other than wheels by Logitech/Logicool?

Here, we have the so-called Mc Laren wheel :

I'll say that the Mad Catz wheel is nowhere in comparison amongst these aforementioned wheels. So, you might want to strike it off your considerations list.

Have fun 'driving!'

The steering wheel is awesome. I got mine brand new for $100 shipped (UPS Ground) at www.pagecomputers.com! I bought this to play with Gran Turismo 4 Prologue (came with my white ps2 shown in the picture). I can't really say much about the steering wheel than you probably heard. If you have any specific questions regarding the steering wheel or Gran Turismo 4, feel free to ask :glee:

When the hell will there be a wheel with a clutch?

When there is a racing game thats supports it...it would be a interesting idea to try out (And yes I can drive stick ;) )

Three days ago I found the official Dreamcast Steering Wheel at a used book/CD store for 950 yen ($9).

Haven't had a chance to plug it in yet, but I'm looking forward to using it with Sega Rally and Shutoko Battle 1 & 2.

I have the Wheel and it sucks.
Really it does.

It's a steal at $9 though. =)

Really? Damn, that's too bad. Oh well, like you said, it was only $9. Besides, the wife really wants to try it out. She hates video games, but she loves driving.

One of these days I'm going to pick up the GT Force Pro, but first I need to move into a new apartment. No more room!

They actually did make a steering wheel with a clutch for the PC sometime ago. Some things went wrong however:

1) Holy mother of cow it was expensive! :loco:
2) The clutch was more of a safety to release a lock to let you shift into next gear, it's not "analog" so you can't power shift or anything like in a real car :shame:
3) It'll be a while before games support it, the work that would have to be put into software that has a realistic clutch would be insane :help:
4) Did I forget to mention it was expensive?
