As I have just purchased my second PS2 system {after a long hiatus from the system} and have been able to track down some of the older stuff like:

Ridge Racer V
The Bouncer
Win Back
ONI
Head Hunter

and a few others *BRAND NEW {and at $19.99 I might add  } I am playing the proverbial game of catch up now. I found Kill Switch easily enough, but for some reason I cannot find any stores that carry MGS II: Substance or even the earlier "Sons of Liberty" *Brand New. :very_ang: I'd buy the game used but most don't know how to take care of their disc based stuff, thus I'm forced to go looking for games brand new... some of which were launch titles. If anyone knows where I can purchase MGS SUBSTANCE or the following *BRAND NEW:

Rygar
Gun Griffon Blaze
Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven
Contra "SS" {Yes though it's not my fave I need it for my lineup}

...please by all means, share the wealth of knowledge.

The PS2 version is harder to find than the Xbox port for some reason. As far as getting it new, ebay is the only place I've seen. Expect to pay at least $30 for a sealed copy, get it now before they go higher.

I've seen lots of brand new Gungriffon Blaze at Wal-Mart, in their $19.99 bins.

I was mostly hoping for store suggestions, but I guess EBAY once again is the only place to get things. I better go don my Gullie suit, recon me a spot and get ready to Snipe me a copy then. Thanks for the imput guys. ;) *I'll have to "Scope" out WAL-MART for Gun Griffon Blaze too. ---Freggin' TENCHU is a bitch to find as well.

You might check your local Circuit City, if you do in indeed have one in your area. I found one at my local store just last weekend, for a measly 20 bucks.

I've been looking all over for the past couple weeks too. I found a place that has a few Sons of Liberty new (picked one up), but no Substance. Apparently they're both out of print. I still see Substance for X-Box all over the place though. But the last thing I want to do is buy yet another system for only one game...

Oh yeah, and if you look at eBay, beware the guy selling Substance for PS2 with a picture of the Sons of Liberty cover with the word "Substance" superimposed on it. $29.99 bin sounds nice, but I don't trust that fool.

You can get Metal Gear Solid 2: SOL for $19.99 everywhere (greatest hits version).
As for Substance, it's quite hard. I may be able to get you one but depends on the price.

Rygar? I can find this game as well.............

Thanks to everyone else who chimed in. *And thanks for the heads up Southtown Kid about that dude with the false "Substance" PS2 game on EBAY. I would have hated to storm ride across the nation to get my money back if I had been duped.

Okay I found RYGAR this morning, and as for SOL heck at this point I'd even buy the "Greatest Hits" version, but no stores I've been to yet seem to have it *Brand New. They've got tons of them used, and all the used ones look like absolute shit. ---I was never to big on MGS II, and stopped halfway through the game due to the whole "Raiden" thing and just not intially feeling it {which led to me originally selling my first PS2}... but I've got this strange feeling that some of the convoluted story of the La-Le-Leui-Le-Lo is going to play a BIG part in Snake Eater so now I must force myself to buy the game again and beat it before I purchase MGS III.

What I'm having the most trouble finding other than MGS Substance is Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, GUNDAM: Journey to Jaburo and GUNDAM: Zeonic Front along with that odd Alternate WWII stragtegy/mecha game RED something or another. These are the games I'm hunting down *BRAND NEW but am having a bitch of a time doing so. Any help is appreicated.

I'm not surprised he can't find one, when I was looking about 2 or 3 weeks ago for mine I came up empty at every branch of all those places in L.A.. I finally found a smaller game store chain called Games For Less (an exaggeration), that had about 3 copies. I'm still looking for Substance (er, so to speak).

If you mean they have Substance, could you pick one up for me? I'll happily pay what it costs plus $10 (if that sounds reasonable) plus shipping. Like Merc, I'd rather buy from someone known here than a possible scammer from eBay...

I ended up finding a *MINT used copy {might well have never been opened nor played} of MGS II: Sons of Liberty for the low, low price of $7.99 at a local EB GAMES. Of course after having gone through 18 discs until I found one that was to my liking anyhow. ---Same thing for MS GUNDAM: Zeonic Front, picked this bad boy up "Near Mint" used a few minutes ago at a GAMESTOP. Thus things are looking up for me. :D ~I do thank you Liquid for being on the lookout and willing to help me out on this though.

...however, if anyone knows where I can get {other than EBAY I mean} an either *MINT-to-NEAR MINT used copy of *BRAND NEW copy of Ring of Red that I was mentioning earlier that would be the shiznits.

I'll be on the look out man.

By the way, even if you hated Raiden, his Ninja missions in the VR Missions are totally sweet.

If anyone could possibly find me a copy of MGS: VR Missions for PS1, I'd appreciate it.
