Ok, my favs in order of preference

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Dx
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda Oracle series
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I never played Majora's Mask, Master Quest is OoT with minor differences, and the CD-i versions are gay . . . no quite literally

I don't care what anyone says, Zelda II was a good game, and no, I'm not mad that they're making a "realistic" version, or that they never made a "Zelda III" (most people hated Zelda II). I like the series to remain fresh, and the changes it has gone can sometimes be a good change of pace.

If only Nintendo would hire voice actors for once and stop with the text shit for the new ones.

In order of preference:

Zelda WindWaker (yes, I loved the cel-shading)
Zelda Majora's Mask
Zelda Oracle of Ages and/or Seasons
Zelda Ocarina of Time (Yes, I had put it in 3rd before, but now is for real)
Zelda Link's Awakening
Zelda Link to the Past
Zelda
Zelda 2

I never played the CDI Zeldas, and I don't even consider them as part of the series;
I'm really looking foward the 4 swords, Minnish Cap and the New Zelda.

I loved WindWaker. Yes, it is easy and have basically the same gameplay of the other 3D Zeldas, but it was one of the more world-immersive games I ever played.

This list doesn't mean that I dislike these Zeldas, the competion is very close. I enjoyed Zelda 2, but it simply can't beat the others. All the series really rocks.

About the New Zelda, I only pray for:

- To take the first place in this list ;);
- To not be a sequel, but a 100% original Zelda, even if it tells the origin of the hero ONE MORE TIME.

WW would be my favorite if it wasn't for the endless sailing.
but link to the past is pretty much it. great game.
I can beat it and beat it over and over again. it really is fun to me.
never thought much of the 64 zeldas though.
they're okay, but it didn't hold my attention like previous ones.
zelda isn't a realistic game. it's a fantasy. the first 64 one was just dull.
the second just happens to be an acquired taste. I doubt there are many
that would argue against that.
as for the new announced zelda, I wasn't wildly impressed.
I think most of the people that are were just advocates of the last zelda not being
cel shaded and all. Personally I thought it was what the series needed after
the moody 64 games.
but my first impressions of the short video of the realistic zelda was: no facial expressions, same engine from ww, not even very good looking graphics.
it basically looked like a touched up 64 version of the game with new models.
but whatever.
I'm hoping they're still planning to make a WW2.

3 & 4 are tops and i also plan to pick up ww, if i can get a copy for 20€ or less.

ocarina of time on the other hand has been a real waste of money. still can't believe i spent almost 125€ on that one. :oh_no:

I love them all and couldn't make a list. The only one like more then the others is Link to the past. I hope the new one has voice acting too but it's really not that important. I just hope it plays as good as the past ones. If it uses the same type of control as the 64 and wind waker that would be cool. Damn Nintendo showing this and making me wait so long ;)

Ocarina of Time
Wind Waker
Majora's Mask
Link's Awakening/DX
Link to the PAst
Legend of Zelda
The Adventure of Link

4 Swords Adventures looks very promising.

Minish Cap also looks awesome.

But...I gotta say I tihnk this stands head and shoulder above the other games in the works.

but my first impressions of the short video of the realistic zelda was: no facial expressions, same engine from ww, not even very good looking graphics.

While the movie didn't show it off, the facial features of WW's engine are in this game (though I doubt the character models are as expressive)

It has also been announced it is not a remake.

I'd honestly like to see a fully 3d remake of Link to the PAst on the WW engine. That could be awesome.

you mean based on the WW engine and cell shaded?
that would be beyond cool.
I'm not saying that the new zelda will be a bust,
I'm happy to see a new zelda any day. I'm just hoping what
I saw was a preliminary version of the game.
soul caliber link or the new link.

Love them all to death, but I guess if I must...

Link to the Past
Link's Awakening
Majora's Mask
Oracles (only played Seasons)
Ocarina of Time
Windwaker
Ledgend of Zelda
Adventure of Link

Minish Cap looks like it has the potential of moving to the top of my list, looks fucking RAD even from the few screens & art we have.

Same goes for the new GC one, same goes for Four Swords...just all of em dammit

Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
Link's Awakening
Wind Waker
Zelda 1
Zelda 2
Majora's Mask (I cant make myself like this game no matter how many times I try).

I liked the Cel shaded graphics of WW, but I like the Teenage version of link much better than the kid version of link, so the new one really has my utmost attention. If it was cel shaded but had Teenage Link, I'd be just as excited. He just looks cooler and more badass.

I don't care what people think, but if it wasn't for OOT I'd have taken no interest in the series. As it so happens thanks to that game I've enjoyed all the Zeldas since.

1. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
2. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
3. Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
4. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
5. BS Zelda no Densetsu
6. Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
7. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
8. Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
9. Legend of Zelda
10. Zelda II: The Adventures of Link

Like the Mario series, the first sequel is the black sheep, and the original is severely dated, but all the rest I could pretty much play right now, no problem, and still have fun.

I expect the same thing from this new one. I wonder how it will fit in with the timeline of the entire series?

I'd have to say I love them all equally, but LttP a little more equally.

Zelda 1 & Zelda 3, no contest, they are two of the finest games ever created in my mind. Zelda 2 is good, I'll say that, I did enjoy playing through the game. Links Awakening is also excellent.

Of the 3D versions, I thought Ocarina of Time & Wind Waker were excellent (still need to play through the Master Quest version of OoT).

Zelda II
Wind Waker
Link's Awakening
Majora's Mask

*Yep Majora's last on my list, I didn't FEEL the whole play mechanics of what they did with the franchise at all.

A Link To The Past just makes me melt inside. Seriously.
After not getting into The Adventure Of Link at all, LTTP just came in, kicked down the fucking door, and said 'The real Zelda is back, BITCH!'
From the opening rainy scene on out, such a complete and total masterpiece in every conceivable way. A sequel to this game on GBA would be most welcome.

The one regret I have with the new Zelda is we'll never know what a full WW-engine Hyrule could look like, and that teaser at the end of WW left me wanting more.

The best part about redoing LttP on it: the game could be a launch title for Nintendo's next platform (since they wouldn't need to take the time to do up a full-original game).

They could also expand the world some, maybe add some extra towns, more stuff with the Zora in it. Perhaps even extra storyline, characters, etc.

But still keep it true to the original as possible and tell the same storyline, same powers (adjusted for 3d) etc.

It would be orgasmic.

1. Link to the Past (SNES)

2. The Legend of Zelda (NES)

3. Ocarina of Time (N64)

4. Wind Waker

5. Adventure of Link (NES)

I'm pretty psyched about the new Zelda game - Wind Waker was a quality title but just didn't have the old Zelda magic IMO. I'm not sure whether it was the kiddie atmosphere or the not-quite-as-compelling storyline, but it just didn't suck me in like the others. I'm still hopeful that the upcoming zelda game can recapture the old LTTP magic. C'mon Shigeru, hit me baby one more time :D!

I feel like I have taken crazy pills, 'cause OoT isn't in every Top3. True, LttP is polished 2D, and OoT is dated 3D, but the BEST CAMERA EVER, and smooth fighting and controls make it feel so ahead of it's time. Those are the facts. But I guess everybody doesn't like every storyline, so I won't go there.
